Me thinks uf spent its nil dollars to improve its recruiting class and are now toast to add immediate help to its roster
100% right here. They shot their wads on 17/18 yr olds this cycle. Paid for everybody!

And how is it that they have the 10th ranked HS class, the 103rd ranked transfer class and still remain #10 ranked class overall... something smells

This is 100% the case. They blew their wad on incoming freshman and have nothing for portal players. On top of that, they didn’t pay any of their current players so a ton of them jumped into the portal. They lost 4 guys at edge alone. Imagine if Miami had lost its top 4 defensive ends to the portal?

Well tbh, Florida didn’t really have a lot of attrition this offseason too tbh. Can’t really bring in a lot of portal players if spots aren’t there.

I can definitely pull up receipts of people warning us they were going to spend big on the portal too. The best player they got was the UCLA WR, something ain't adding up lmao

Don't let them change the narrative
Now they claim they are so loaded they don't need the portal and we haven't been evaluating correctly thus we need the portal for 15 players a year. Meanwhile we kicked their ***

They have lost 18 guys to the portal not counting that quarterback they told would compete for a starting job. 6 of the players they’ve lost played defensive line/edge

They’re have signed 2 players in the portal.

One of them is a punter.

Broke gator.

Thats a clown take. Roster is larger and just like all other schools, kids get asked to look elsewhere so that teams can bring in portal players they believe to be an improvement.
They shot their load on the recruiting class and now don't have the significant funds required to bring in top level portal players. It's just that simple.

Yall boys better come to reality with Lagway . He’s not a top 3 qb right now and they’re acting like he is right now . I tell them give him to the end for the year or maybe next year that will change but right now he can’t read coverages. They’re setting him up for failure . If he doesn’t perform to their expectation and they start bad mouthing him he is going to transfer to Miami 😂

Your 247 website says that you have 17 outgoing Portal players and 4 incoming.

Rosters went from 85 to 105.

Gator Mathz does not compute...

5 of those guys weren’t on scholly and a lot of the non scholly guys currently are going to get awarded schollys in the spring not to mention the spring portal transfer window.

You know this staff moves notoriously slow in the portal, come on now

My understanding is their big time boosters donated a ton of money for Billy’s buyout, and it was bookmarked for that, and when they started spending that money on NIL the donors started asking for their money back. So the money for portal players was not available.

Good times!

So...I reject your premise...
I’m all for dunking on the gator even if we like @flagator86 but unfortunately you’re not correct here- Not for the SEC- conference said they were holding at 85 for 2025 season

Separately I think it might not be wise for anyone to automatically fully go to 105. That’s more players to split the theoretical revenue share if//when house settlement comes. Could be situational.
