It’s their way of not acknowledging that veteran players are leaving because they’re not getting NIL opportunities. They see incoming freshmen get huge deals while guys who actually contributed are getting the shaft. Billy having to play a bunch of freshmen next year might buy him another season on the job after he inevitably goes 6-6. AgainI dont even believe those were his demands. Maybe more money. But no p5 team is guaranteeing starting time, 3rd downs, etc.
Or they are just so you hear what you wanted but by spring practice they arent keeping their word.
Its all damage control because of this odd "momentum" they think they have; this is a way to keep that so other teams cant say "Why are all these kids leaving with so much supposed momentum."
