Couple things I noticed:

• None of the recruits look like they are enjoying themselves. The kids are either no sunshine types or are just there collecting a check.

• That’s just an embarrassing atmosphere to host recruits for a formal meal. It’s likely not a wise strategy to try to compete with Miami’s restaurants, but you could do some sort of “family” dinner or something similar. Does Spurrier have a house nearby? A dinner there would be 100 times better than the gymnasium or his cheesy restaurant.

• Will the Gators get some summer commits that don’t stick come early signing day? Somehow, they actually have more momentum than I would have thought after last season, the rashada mess, and all of Billy’s failures.

• That hotel is nice I guess, but not special. It just reminds me of a mass produced and cheaply built “nice” hotel. As TOC mentioned, it gives off IKEA vibes. There are likely a hundred hotels nicer in Miami. I stay in D.C. and Philly quite a bit and that piece of **** room would be average for those cities.

I was just taking a dig at them because the room is generic. Absolutely no decor. I hate that shag looking carpet. Just give me tile floors and put a rug down if they like.

That is some seriously cheap food they are serving. How hard is it get a chef to cater some gourmet food. I'm not even a chef and I could do a better job.

How about some theme carving stations? Some with various meats? A seafood station with lobster, shrimp, and crab. It's not too hard if you're willing to spend some money.

What an incredibly unappetizing plate of food. That shrimp looks like either fried locusts, fattened earthworms or groundhog brains - I’m not sure which. What I am sure of is: you could have a better meal at Golden Corral.

Miami Mike wants other gators to start **** in the parking lot and then afterwards pop off about how “We” did this and “We” did that. Meanwhile, he’ll be standing far removed from it wanting no part of it just like I would.
