Now this Gator fan tries to claim that the "Big **** Billy" meme was "always a joke". Hilarious.

Look, here's the reality. When the Gators S&C coach left AFTER FIVE WEEKS to take a job with BOSTON COLLEGE, all the Gator fans were like "oh, he's choosing to be with his FRIEND Bill O'Brien, because he worked with him for 5 years FIVE YEARS AGO. Notice how Fitzgerald left O'Brien and his NFL job after a 4-12 season to take a "lesser" job in college.

Now, you've got Hamilton leaving HIS friend, Slingblade Billy, after five years, to take a job with aTm. And while it might be a lateral move for more money, you have to realize that he is going to a program that just fired its entire staff. He is not taking a job based on the pull of friendship, but on the simple calculus that he has a better chance to remain employed in 9 months than what he has now at Florida.

Hamilton has worked with Slingblade Billy for 5 years across two universities. They are close. Hamilton was ALREADY offered more responsibility by Slingblade Billy. He is leaving Flagship University in Titletown for the never-gonna-be-better-than-second-best university in Texas, for a coach he's never worked with, for what? The Gator writers are acting as if he is being paid soooooo much more, but you have to ask yourself (a) how much can aTm POSSIBLY be authorized to pay an off-field staffer with no ties to their program, and (b) why Florida can't simply offer more money to retain one of the few guys who has produced results for them over the last 2 years, particularly when this is the guy responsible for one of the only blue-chip recruits they did NOT lose just before Signing Day.

Yes. Hamilton "wanted to move back to his home state of Texas". He could have done that at any time before now. But we are supposed to believe this off-field staff guy has a multi-million-dollar deal to take a lateral move back to his "home state" where he hasn't lived in at least five years...because that fits the narrative that Slingblade Billy's sinking ship isn't being abandoned...

Sure.

Clearly, aTm has an 11-month plan to bring DJ Lagway home. I can see them offering Slingblade Billy an analyst job after the Gators fire him.

Look at this guy. He is trying to logically and "honestly" claim that he never participated in the "Big **** Billy" false-idol-worship. He "always" thought the meme made Slingblade Billy "look like a North Georgia dumb hick".

The meme is Slingblade Billy's ACTUAL head on a stick figure. That's it. If Slingblade Billy "looks like a North Georgia dumb hick", IT'S BECAUSE OF HIS DUMB HICK FACE. Not the obviously cartoonish stick figure body. Unless North Georgia dumb hicks have stick figure bodies.

The whitewashing of history will NEVER STOP with Gator fans. Just EIGHT MONTHS AGO, they were acting as if Slingblade Billy was the greatest recruiter of his generation and that every blue-chip recruit wanted to play for Flagship University of Titletown and spend all of their free time at Dave & Busters wolfing down mac & mayo and Wal-Mart cinnamon buns after driving around with their big-**** head coach in a G-Wagon.

Now they are trying to claim that they were never in favor of fellating Big **** Billy and his stick-figure meme...
