Really surprised to find out today that UF's #107 in returning production for 2023. 55% of their offensive production from 2022 is back in 2023, followed by 53% on defense. That's miles lower than FSU's 87% of overall returning production, and Miami's 70% of returning production.

With their schedule as tough as it is, they're staring down the barrel of 4-8/5-7 season.

They have legit convinced themselves that the defense is going to be elite after losing the two best players in Ventrell and Gervon and that the offensive line is going to be great after losing one of the best in CFB last year. Lol

Doesn't make any sense to me. Mertz is not going to be any, he is what he is. And they have a brutal schedule. Also their defense sucked last year and finished ranked in the 90's.

I think they lose by two scores at least to Utah Week 1. Decent chance they go into their bye 2-5/3-4. Don't think they'll can Billy after this year though. He genuinely has nothing to work with at the moment.

Not to mention believing that Mertz is the Golden Child that will miraculously become a Heisman Trophy candidate and lead them to the CFP…

The guy who he was competing with for the backup job played a couple times last year including the rose bowl and has some experience. He's about as good as Mertz
