I suppose you can also argue that ATM and UGA are still looking for their primetime QB in 2023/2024 classes. Heck, I think UGA won't sign a QB in a couple classes, IIRC.

This is a big misconception. There’s only upfront NIL money for high school kids from states where it’s legal. It’s legal in California - Rashada. I don’t know about Texas - Lagway.

TVD along with maybe another dozen players have received NIL deals with different dealerships where they get a free 4 year lease in exchange for them using their name, image and likeness to market their businesses. Totally violating the spirit of the law.

The true intent of NIL was to setup a pyramid scheme called a “collective” where fans donate money to pay for players so the individuals running it could skim off the top while the players were paid for bogus appearance fees.
