Tears Gator Tears

This is some stupid rag. It’s not even attributed. Go to Vegas odds and see if Van Dyke doesn’t always rank above Anthony Richards, I haven’t seen a single one worries higher. These are published odds. So your little fantasy rag is pure nonsense. I wouldn’t have even given it the viewing here.

Maybe that’s some short bus riding **** writer that put that load of manure out there.
Its absolute bananas. This is a well known mag actually...and Ive seen other lists with AR ahead of TVD. I dont get it. We are on the same page. It is nonsense and a terrible take.

I looked at a number of betting websites. At least they are consistent and have TVD with better odds of winning the Heisman than AR. I actually saw 1 though that had DJ from Clemson with better odds than TVD. That gave me a chuckle.

These are all projections. The Miami Dolphins can beat the KC Chiefs. But Im not putting the odds in their favor..based on what we know. I think a lot of AR nuthuggers are confusing hype with hope.

I try to be fair in my assessments.

In my opinion, the young man has a very high ceiling and is one **** of an athlete. In the games that I saw him play in, he definitely showed that he’s a competitor, and was head and shoulders above Emory Jones.

His weakness is definitely his accuracy, in my opinion. I don’t think that your OL will do him any favors this season. I expect him to play very well against inferior opponents, but think that he will struggle mightily against the middle tier and top dogs in the $EC, as well as against Utah.

I also don’t think he’s in the same stratosphere as TVD when it comes to passing, and reading defenses at this point. He’s definitely faster and quicker than TVD, but does not possess as good of an arm, and definitely has not at this point shown to have the accuracy or quick decision making ability to be considered an elite prospect.

Again, we shall see. Just my opinion.

This is good, and I completely agree. There's no denying his physical traits. He should be able to wreck inferior opponents and put up numbers against them. The issue is whether he can be effective against the better teams. He should still be able to put up yards, but will he struggle when they tighten up, shrink the field and start throwing different looks at him? Is he going to be able to anticipate the defense, make the right read, and out the ball where it needs to be? Idk. He struggled last season in very limited reps. It's obviously too early to tell, but it is strange that there is a hype train around him when there has been very little reason to hype him up.

Yes, Mullen obviously didn't want him, etc. But say what you will about Mullen, he usually knows QBs. Isn't that an indictment on AR? It's a new staff and new season, but I'm very curious to see what happens with his progression.

Mullet supposedly knows QBs but I think that’s been exposed in here. He chased Emory over Corral and Beck over Richardson. He started Franks over Trask and Emory over Richardson.

True. BUT... hear me out...

**** the gators..

You're right, but I just wanted to say **** the gators.

@flagator86 you were a rational Tears poster when Mullen was in the picture, but I think Napier's staff has that new coaching staff smell and it's addling your mind. I look forward to the games being played bringing you back down to reality. No hope for the rest of the fanbase, but I know you'll see the truth soon enough

lol i'm rational even with the current staff. Maybe they'll prove me wrong but i'm stilllllllll iffy on the WR core though. I just don't know who is going to be the one to take the top off the defense. I think that's an unproven position that's not getting enough attention.

I've a question: how do they overcome the bad culture that mullet left? That team quit, I don't care that they quit on the coach they quit. So how does anyone think that can be fixed in the 1st year?

Good question. It made me mad when they quit cause I was like "yall ain't good enough to throw in the **** towel" but I think there will undoubtably be lumps when it comes to that. I hope he correct it by playing the players who show they want to be out there. The attrition to the portal wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be so I guess either they bought/buying in or sniffed around and didn't have any takers

I agree with you 100% and it’s strange cause I know Kirby and Saban both negative recruit each other. I always thought that was interesting considering how much they thought of each other

I look at "negative recruiting" in two categories.

The basic "negative" recruiting is silly and misguided, but it happens and I can live with it most of the time. Any rival coach who spends more time talking about the NEGATIVES of Miami over the positives of his own school is just going in the wrong direction. And don't get me wrong, sometimes it works, but it is pathetic when it does and it preys upon the youth and gullibility of some of these recruits.

The "lying" negative recruiting is far worse, and it's something that certain schools do more than other schools. This one bothers me a lot more, and I certainly hope recruits share these things more frequently, so it shames the perpetrators and possibly changes future behavior.

Man, those Turds went 6 and 7 last year. They have no reason to be that ****y against such a quality and experienced team regardless of being a home game. I’ve never been to that stadium and have zero plans to ever go. It looks like a stinky sweat pit from my couch.

Honestly, they're just a college version of Miami Dolphins fans-- pathologically unaware of the facts, and completely defiant, about what their program actually means to the greater CFB establishment. You know your clinging to relevancy when you name a mango varietal after the last relevant player you had because not enough people are seeing the statue.

Since 2010, they've won 62% of their games, including 2 losing seasons. That's mediocre, at best. Ask us how we know.

But 62% in the SEC, SEC, SEC, is like 94.2% everywhere else. So what are you saying?

Did I do it right?

I don't think @WaterburyCane is giving that any credence whatsoever, just simply pointing out something that's ridiculous

Oh I know that @WaterburyCane doesn’t give it credence, I was just teeing off on a fantasy football rag. There’s thousands and thousands of fantasy “experts“ on the Internet and apparently even in print. The overwhelmingly majority of them are no different than you and I.
