Tears Gator Tears

Gatas have picked up steam on the trail, no need to downplay it. But looking at the classes there are some differences.

Miami Top 100 commits - 5 (three top 50)
UF Top 100 commits - 2 (none in top 50)

UF also has 7 four star guys OUTSIDE of the top 247, I wasn’t even aware there were that many four stars in the 300 range.

I think Miami is mostly done on commits right now maybe aside from Samson if he does pop before season starts. The rest of the guys are big fish type who are waiting to see the product on the field. Whether landing guys or losing guys, it all happens once you’ve shown who you really are between the lines.
They also have a **** QB and no OL. Stokes being their QB is no bueno for them. Still, agreed they have a very good class but I would not even think about trading positions. They have very few difference makers.

That’s why we say not all 4 stars are the same… they’re pounding their chest about blue chip ratio and that’s fine but they’re not hitting on all their top recruits. A lot of these guys were 2nd 3rd options. Also not many of them were top options for their top tier programs

And this is the right answer. They getting dudes no big name school is pushing hard for. The left overs never work out
Yes sir. We’ve learned this the hard way. First of all these ranking sites are very political and often base their rankings on camps/highlights. Also, there is absolutely merit to partially measuring a kid based on what offers a kid has. It is much harder these days (although not impossible) to have a hidden gem fly under the radar.

UF will have some trouble with their QB depth. I like AR’s upside but after that, Jack Miller is a question mark. Kitna’s HS tape was meh. Marcus Stokes’ tape was baaad. They should’ve gone after other prospects like Emory Williams or Rickie Collins.
