Don't ever insult stone cold like this.
Ever.
Don't ever insult stone cold like this.
I agree Sun Belt Billy got very lucky when Dabo got promoted that he had the experience and relationship with Sweeney to get hired as the QB coach and OC, but I don’t think it’s luck that Saban hired him as an analyst and I don’t think it’s luck that made Saban brought him back to coach WRs after he’d done it for a year and had worked on Saban’s staff as an analyst.
Saban isn’t bringing a former analyst back onto his staff unless he believes in the work the guy does.
Who you know is a big part of being successful in life and it isn’t always a bad thing. Just because someone knows you doesn’t mean they’re going to hire you for a job opening they have: they’ve got to believe you’ll do the job well.
Dabo was unknown at the time and didn’t have as big a network so hiring one of his guys made sense for him and it was lucky for Billy. That Clemson did better than people expected and his experience working for dabo looked so great was also good fortune.
But saban was established already and he isn’t doing people favors when he hires them. He is making his program better. He has a lot of choices about who he hires and can be very selective. Hiring billy after having him work on his staff would show at minimum that the guy works hard and is smart enough not to **** things up.
I don’t know what’s true and what isn’t. I know that an assistant punching a head coach could’ve easily been a career killer so I question it absent self-defense. You walk out of a place before you do that unless you’re attacked. And this is coming from a guy (me) who in his 20’s threw a punch at his boss.
But that spoiled DC suburban ***** intimated that I was *** one too many times at lunch - and I just looked at him knowing that even in the nice place I grew up in in Miami Beach, we’d beat this Potomac/ Bethesda pussoir silly - and said “you’re a puzzy” and the *****’s silver spoon eggshell ego couldn’t handle it and he came at me and pushed me like a fairy and so he met Mr. Roundhouse Right.
One of the proudest moments of my working career to this day. And yeah, that was my last day of work there. I went out on a high note.

Sometimes I wish I was… my life would be less complicated.Wait, your not ghey?!?!?!![]()
Between this story and the one a month or two back about you wrangling up some older kids to help you curbstomp a bully... I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be accepting an invitation to the CiS Seder. One too many cups of red wine, I say something stupid, and I'd get laid out.I don’t know what’s true and what isn’t. Lol. I was never a bully nor some bad *** - just a regular Beach kid. I’d have been stomped by real tough guys.Between this story and the one a month or two back about you wrangling up some older kids to help you curbstomp a bully... Haha.Lol. I was never a bully nor some bad *** - just a regular Beach kid. I’d have been stomped by real tough guys.I’m the polar opposite of these things now and not capable of hitting anything of force nor would I. You’re more wreckless when you’re younger. I mean I was.
one of the causes is he sucks at recruiting...Billy is like two more bad moves from giving UF cause.
Congrats my guy! Just proposed Sunday myselfIt’s a pleasure to be here lol
Snell: "I promise, Billy, I PROMISE I'll make the mac and cheese thicker this time...I just got a bad batch of runny Velveeta last time, but I promise you I'm going to mix in some Cheese Wiz to thicken it up..."
hate to be the bearer of bad news but Mario is going to eat everyone's lunch and take their lunch money too
I doubt Smith and Russaw end up making it. They probably said they would attend when asked a few weeks ago. If those 2 just show up it will be the highlight of the Turds recruiting for the entire year.So I realize that a lot can happen in 3 weeks, but this is the current list of attendees for the Gaytors' Friday Night Lights/Saturday Cookout (featuring Sonny's Real Pit BBQ Mac and Cheese!) event...
Florida will have FNL this year on the 29th and their cookout the next day on the 30th. I expect more names to pop up on this list as it gets closer but I've had enough people ask for a list so I made a few calls today to get some names to start it out.
Targets:
5-star DL James Smith
5-star edge Jaquavious Russaw
4-star DL Kelby Collins (both 29th and 30th)
4-star DL Kamran James (likely both 29th and 30th)
4-star S Jordan Castell (maybe the 29th for sure the 30th)
4-star LB Kaveion Keys - Maybe still. Would be an OV likely if he does visit
4-star LB Lewis Carter (July 30th)
2024 4-star LB Myles Graham - maybe (July 30th)
3-star OT Caden Jones (28th and 29th)
Current Commits:
4-star Gaytors commit TJ Searcy (July 30th)
4-star Gaytors commit Shariff Denson (29th and 30th) - likely wil be up staying with Tre'Vez Johnson a few days before the 29th
4-star Gaytors commit Gavin Hill
4-star Gaytors commit Creed Whittemore (July 30th)
4-star Gaytors commit Knijeah Harris
3-star Gaytors commit Bryce Lovett
IM-pressssive...

The 2022 Gators recruiting class
I give you that Mullen hasn’t won the SEC, but he has been at UF for only 3 years and has had less talent than both Georgia and LSU. Dude it’s only my...www.gatorcountry.com
Such a GOAT scene. I thought he was unkillable when he walked out the door.Without a doubt.
Chicken Guy's "line brother" was calling to feed him recruiting propaganda while Chicken Guy was in the hospital recovering from being hit by a drunk driver.
Classy.
Oh, and just FYI, QueJay also posted a selfie from when he was in the hospital:

Absolutely. This is why I thought all that "we need an offensive/defensive guru" stuff was silly. It's not a system that will win for us, it's talent. Obviously, a decent system is needed, but al or manny could have won a lot more games with better, deeper talent. Sure, better defensive schemes could have helped, but neither would ever have been great because they couldn't stack enough talent to compete at the top. ****, with the right talent either of them could have looked like a strong defensive coach. And that's saying something. What they don't understand (I didn't before Mario got hired) was putting so much stock into the HC being a HC or DC over talent acquisition.
Nick Saban is considered one of the best if not the best coaches in college football. What is he really? He's a great CEO. He's not a DC or an OC. He doesn't coach every player on the team. He coaches DBs. One could argue He's just a mediocre coach applying the same logic as the Gator. Saban isn't winning with less. He's winning with more. More than nearly every team on his schedule. Saban can't take a bunch of 3-stars to the playoffs. Per Jimbo, he's not God.
So, all this Gator crybaby **** is just to convince themselves that Mario isn't another Saban. In many ways they are similar, but Mario is a better recruiter because he is the recruiter. Saban hires the best recruiters that do 99% of the work. Mario hires great recruiters and has his hands personally on all the recruits as the best recruiter. That's what separates him from all other HCs and that's a big problem for everyone including Billy goat Napier.
Why is Saban considered one of the greatest college football coaches? Because to this date, he's been the greatest CEO of any college football team. Mario understands that. That's what he brings to Miami. The ability to construct the next Amazon or Google. The Gator doesn't understand that. I didn't. Now I do!!!
The Gator just wants to convince himself that what's happening isn't real and it's glorious in all its splendor!!!!
Some guys have all the luck.People have to REEEEALLY pay attention to Billy Gaypier's career to realize what a joke it is (not saying YOU, just in general)...
Billy played football at Furman, then he was the GA at Clemson for 2 years. Furman is right down the road from Clemson (opposite sides of Greenville), so this all makes sense so far. Then he went down to South Carolina State for a year, which is between Greenville and Columbia.
Here's where the Forrest Gump stuff comes in. So Tommy Bowden hires Billy to be the TEs coach at Clemson, where Billy was for 3 years (Bowden resigned during Billy's third year). And we all know who the WRs coach was, good ol' Dabo Swinney. So for three years, Dabo and Billy worked together on the Clemson passing game. So then when Dabo gets the Clemson interim HC job, he turns to his buddy Billy and makes him QB coach. Why? Because Billy played QB and coached it at SC State for ONE year. Guess that makes sense for a guy who jumps from WR coach to Head Coach.
Anyhow, when Dabo gets the full-time Clemson HC job, he makes Billy his OC and QB coach. Great. So then Year 1 goes well, 9 wins, but Year 2 was terrible and Clemson goes 6-6, with Dabo firing his five-year friend Billy Gaypier.
So then Billy goes from OC to just an analyst at Alabama for one year. Then one year as WRs coach at Colorado State. And then Billy gets touched by the hand of God. Nick Saban hires Billy as WRs coach and employs him for 4 years. After that, Billy spends ONE year at Arizona State as OC and QBs coach before being hired as Head Coach by Louisiana.
And here's the reality. Outside of his 8 years bouncing around South Carolina schools and being in the right place at the right time when Dabo was elevated, and besides the 4-year stint at Nick Saban's Coaching Rehab Clinic, what has Billy done? He has a bunch of 1 and 2 year tenure jobs at non-descript schools, and a 4-year run as the Head Coach at a G5 school.
So with all of that, he gets the job at University of Flagship Gaytor Brandz Nation Yo.
Talk about failing upward...
Congrats my guy! Just proposed Sunday myself
