"Willie Taggart's recruits"? Willie was at Oregon for 363 days, Mario was there for 5 years (with about 330 days of overlap). This idiot is acting like 25 Taggart signees were solely responsible for the next 5 years of Oregon's success. Go ahead, I challenge anyone to name any of the players from this amazing 2017 Taggart class. ****, I'll help out, there were zero 5-stars and only 5 composite 4-stars in the class. Only 2 guys out of 25 have been drafted. Not exactly a recruiting class that wins its conference twice and its division three times.

I am glad to see the Gaytors adopting the old Miami fan approach of "if we win games, recruiting will improve". Good luck with that.

It’s funny that the turds only focus on Marios coaching and don’t acknowledge that the staff he put together is one of the best anywhere….HC take the credit and the heat but if you don’t have a great staff no HC is doing sHT himself and Mario has a great one backing him up…
 
Fans will come up with the wildest **** to rationalize thier program’s own failures. Mario maybe a good recruiter but he is a train wreck as a game day coach. He only won his p5 conference 2 out of 4 times and that was with someone else’s players, someone that didn’t recruit as well as him… yeah, that’s what I’mma go wif Cletus…

Yep, a season lies ahead where one team has an iffy roster where recruiting and program momentum has collapsed and faces a brutal schedule with a staff with little P5 experience. The other has a heisman caliber QB and is loading up with more stars and immediate portal heft and has a more manageable schedule with top P5 veteran coaches. Yeah, let's pretend to debate who's likely to come out ahead in that.
