I just came from Houston last month and seen people wearing Canes Gear as if they were in Coral Gables…Our Brand is still relevant buddy…Go to the Northeast you’ll see UM Gear…Go to the Midwest, you’ll see UM Gear…Now, where would I see the gator gear outside of North & Central Florida??? Don’t worry, I’ll wait…

...and the 10th who was accurate. Gator fans on your forum constantly bring up being in the SEC as if it somehow makes the Gators superior...despite them sucking and not being anywhere near the tier of the couple of teams in the SEC that are actually any good. Florida crowing about being SEC carries about as much weight as Kentucky or South Carolina doing so.

Florida has things they’re better at as a university and Miami has things they’re better at… just the way it is.

Best comparison for athletics is to compare sports we both have and how many national championships they have combined.

Being in the SEC does make us superior, and you're lying to yourself if you say that you wish Miami wasn't a member. UF wins the All-Sports trophy nearly every year. It's the best athletics program in the SEC and one of the top in the country.

Just because we've been down in football doesn't change the fact that we are in a better conference than Miami. However, bragging about being in the SEC is not synonymous with adopting Bama's or other team's success. If Bama wins, nobody from UF takes credit for it. So, your post was bad, and you should feel bad.

Agreed. Florida is better at sports, academics, and prestige, and Miami is better at counting to 5, history classes, and living in the 1980s.

Point is your team sucks, be it in the SEC or the Mountain West (which is more on par with the quality of your coaching staff). The only reason the mighty SEC is tops in football is because of Alabama and Georgia. Florida is just also-rans tagging along like SC and Kentucky.

Even though we don't brag on that.
I know of one Gator fan and that's because some family still makes dumb decisions.
