Oh I see, Napier wanted updated tapes before deciding to keep the guys they already had in the class, and they weren't willing to send them. That makes so much sense. From past coaching transitions, I've learned that you don't spend any extra time holding on to the guys already in the class, that would be stupid. You give them a chance to sell themselves to you, and if they don't too bad. You don't have time to spend wooing them, you have to get busy finding their replacements.
Being serious for a minute: literally the first thing I've seen every single in-coming coach do is call/visit the top guys in the class they're inheriting. I think Mario had his plane land in the street in front of Bissainthe's house while talking to another kid on facetime. It's crazy, who would get hired in December and think they had time to recruit a full class? Even if you don't love some of those kids, how do you think you're going to replace them while filling holes in the class? And these morons are supporting this nonsense. Like Napier didn't need to pursue the kids, that's not what recruiting is! We're uf, you better sell yourself to us!
Somehow in thousands of pages of lunacy, these crazy class grades are really sticking out in my mind. Like this is a new level of delusion.
