I would also point out that we were not heckling anyone over "recruiting class ranking", we were mocking G5 Gaypier for coming in and disregarding the pre-existing Gaytor verbals for blue-chip recruits. Hey, Mario pushed out 2 kids too, but they were the lowest-rated of our Manny-verbals.

Just proves the point that has been made over the preceding 2,000+ pages. Gaytor fans are OBSESSED with recruiting class rankings...Miami fans, not so much.

Don't get me wrong, we all want good classes. But this is a marathon, not a sprint. Let's measure d!cks in February...or August...

Until that time, we were just laughing at marathoner Billy Gaypier for crapping his jorts back at Mile 3...

lol at him even posting this. 7 more commits yet only 20 points higher in the rankings. To put this in perspective, if Stewart commits, we pass them. Conversely, if we were to sign 7 players identical to UF's worst/lowest ranked recruit (kicker .80 overall ranking, low 3 star) we would still pass them.

Also, if Mullen only signed like 10 HS kids then went and got 3 transfers from the Cajuns, the fan base would revolt.

He had some high rated kids committed and refused to re-offer without a workout or new tape of a workout or something similar. Some just said see ya and they were not low rated.

Exactly. THAT is what we were mocking.

Instead, we have this Gaytor tweeter trying to rub our faces in it. But if we had kept Landon Ibieta, we would STILL be ahead of them.

Inside the Gators learned over the weekend that there was an incident, that was described as more of a speed bump than a roadblock, that took place during the hiring process.

Documents, which detailed salary, titles, responsibilities, etc..., were inadvertently left in the printer and were found by a former staffer.

ITG was told that said staffer proceeded to give some of the info to a reporter, and then some to either an agent, representative or someone of that nature (I am not 100% clear on what their job is).

We were told that the names getting out wasn't that big a deal, because you could follow past relationships to come up with some of them, but rather the contract info was 'released' before Billy Napier and UF were able to lock in deals with those coaches.

What they found most surprising is that someone inside the building would do that in the first place. Coaches and staff members come and go, but we were told to do that was seen as a big 'FU' to the program that was still paying that person's salary - and there was no upside to it other than to be vindictive.

Now, not to say that that incident caused UF to miss out on any coaches, but we were told that it 'wasn't helpful.'
