I really don't understand why anyone, even Gators, are surprised. If you zoom out, this season was inevitable and a few of us here, regardless of what the CFB world, the AP, etc. said were adamant this offseason that this was coming for UF.

Mullen had so many DNQ's, no-shows, arrests, early transfers, recruiting reaches, and others that really depleted their roster and it was quite clear this was the year it was going to catch up to them as they lost so many key guys from last year's team. Remember that kid who was rapey and got kicked out and his roommate, their highest rated recruit left too? Remember the NQ kid with visa problems? And so on. They sell their souls to boost their recruiting rankings and they just became the instrument of their own destruction. Next year won't be better.

You hate to see it.
