Notes from Gator scrimmage:
Both sources said that the defense pretty much won the day. I was told that the quarterbacks were sacked 7 times and that the offense may have had 35 rushing yards on the day. Gervon Dexter evidently had a monster scrimmage, but no specifics yet.
I was told that Mohamoud Diabate was all over the place and looked great. Also told by a couple of sources that Jason Marshall played well and had a couple of interceptions with one being over Justin Shorter. . Kaiir Elam had a pick-6.
Xzavier Henderson had a long touchdown with a safety out of position, not sure who but it wasn't Trey Dean. After allowing Marshall to steal one from him Shorter did come back with a touchdown reception. Jacob Copeland also had a touchdown reception.
My understanding was that it was hard to report much because the defense was so dominant outside of the big offensive plays mentioned above. I got that vibe from two different sources tonight. One actually said the scrimmage was "boring".
