Jesus they somehow continue to become more insufferable. I don’t even know what issue of theirs to address. They just need to log off and go hang out in the cow pastures

I gotta tell you, I find it somewhat great that some Gator fans on that board like the fact that Miami players were put in position by NIL law to make such a deal.

I also find it amazing that this dude allegedly went to law school. Based on what he is writing, he 100% didnt go to law school because he has zero clue about what the **** he is talking about.

Love it. Just love it. Drink it in, man.

Edit: Best part of them all: "Its a contract based on being a Miami football player". No ****, dude. Literally every single football player has contract valuation based on the fact that they play for a program and only get support from certain companies in the area because they play for a certain program. I wouldnt be surprised if contract language literally says "Deriq King, student athlete for the University of Miami, Florida" because NIL law requires them to write that in the contract (just an assumption).

He would be correct if the players formed a union within the University (which I dont think is legal) and all signed under that union (or a representative signing for them), but they didnt, because every contract is individually set up.

I still don’t get why they think deals can’t be offered to everyone on scholarship. How do they think EA or some other video game company is going to get the license to use players’ likenesses? The deal in question also requires any player receiving payment to use their social media platform to endorse the business and to also participate in promotional events.

Which..... drumroll....is using their NIL to promote something.

This is the transfer portal all over again.
At first they tried to make fun of us for taking advantage of it from the beginning then they declared themselves the portal kings.
Is all bad until they do it then they'll claim they are pioneering for athletes.
