all anti gator emotions aside - do you all think their mullen hate is justified? i thought his year 2 wasn't bad and he lost his starting QB.

Another good point

Yea and No.... hes a good gameday coach, but with what hes done in 2 years in Gainesville so far they should be recruiting much better than they are right now.

They take too many risky recruits just to inflate their numbers I think. Theyre fans know they wont get anywhere close to contending for a championship recruiting like that.

As far a QB... it was a blessing when Franks got hurt. They actually upgraded at QB with Trask. Now that the spotlight is on him we'll see how he performs this season.

Mullet was on Andy Staples’ podcast for a generic interview. Man what a snoozefest. Mullet also stumbled through most of the interview with his inability to adequately use the English language.

In all fairness, Mullet's lips and tongue are paralyzed, he is being treated for a severe case of herpes simplex that he contracted from his wife.

Lost his starting QB and their offense actually got better... Well passing wise. I do think they're dumb for hating him but I also don't follow their team so maybe they have legit reasons. The games I did see, he coached well enough.

Believe it only counts if the kid enrolls

You are wrong. NCAA recently changed the rules to penalize schools that try to roll the dice with dicey academic kids. At this time, kids who sign LOIs or FAAs who fail to qualify count as counters. This is why we didn't sign Moise to an LOI or FAA in February, when he was not yet qualified.

I stand corrected then. Mullen is really bad at roster management.

Yeah, it's not just the basics of roster management, it is also LOI and expectation management.

These days, if you have a kid who is not qualified on National Signing Day, you can't let him sign. You have to convince the kid that you are doing everyone a favor, and manage the expectations (along with "what needs to be done").

If that means the Gaytors lose a kid to Marshall, who might be willing to take a chance on a kid who isn't yet qualified, so be it.

Instead, this is either the third or fourth academic IC loss for the Gaytors (not sure how the Bahamian kid who "couldn't get his student visa" counts).

And, yes, everyone is entitled to their opinions on whether Miami "screwed" Moise.
