He seems to give you the middle finger a lot.Just had a chat with my Bull gator partner and.............................he says college football has been destroyed by NIL. I reminded him that UF used to pay players under the table and all that NIL did was allow honest teams to do the same openly. He gave me the middle finger........![]()

Explain this to him.
Florida HAS the money. Certainly, they paid a ton to Lagway and all the Gator legacy players they signed over the past 2 years.
Unfortunately for Florida (and fortunately for Miami), they chose to hire a cornball dip**** head coach just as the NIL era was getting started. And they doubled down by hiring Slingblade's almost-twin once they fired Napier.
Coaching matters. And when Stricklin has gone cheap by hiring Sunbelt head coaches, it doesn't even matter how much NIL money is in the warchest, most recruits don't want to PLAY for Slingblade or Sumrall.
PS, tell him that I'm from Orlando and I have a degree from UF (which makes me a UF alumnus, though I have three degrees from Miami) and I know ALLLLLLLL about Florida and Hogtown and Bull Gators and whatnot, I've grown up around them for my entire life.
All of this, plus, call him a "f@g" too!!!

The thing is, Bama and UGA are spending. Not to the extent as Texas, LSU, Texas Tech, Miami, OSU, Michigan, and a few others, but Bama and UGA are still heavy spenders. They probably are a little behind, but they are still very much in the top.Dont feel sorry for these muppets. You see Texas and LSU all spending. Bama, UGA and the rest will find a way to join the party after some whining. Or they will get congress or someone in charge to do something. Sanky trying to have a SEC invitational playoff but forgot to make sure the teams are actually good. They getn exposed. Lizard man i down the pecking order. Watching our games and crying.
the advantage the SEC had is they had coaches that evaluated properly and if they couldn't they would stack. Where to me imo, the other schools were dog **** at it. Now with actual cfb film they know who the dogs are and go after them, so that kind of balanced things out. Now no one really a secret and you can be the average team and get dogs. If you can do that well though and still evaluate HS then you cooking with gasoline. These SEC dudes with $$$ that are complaining about NIL are missing the bigger issue. The unmitigated free agency that is the transfer portal is the biggest problem.
SEC schools, and a lot other schools were paying players under the table….yes Dabo..Clemson especially, but they never had to contend with the Wild West of the portal. It’s not just about bringing guys in….its just as much about keeping your guys with you.
The NCAA controls the portal….
