Brock Berlin was free. DJ Lagway won’t be.But, but, but he was a Heisman candidate and the savior to turn around the program and dominate the SEC.
Edit: take him just to ***** with their fans. Backup QB.
No, he still needs shoulder surgery, and I’m pretty sure either the hamstring and/or core is still bugging him. Nothing was able to heal properly and he’s just sort of stiff now and not as mobile as he used to be.Lagway's issues are all mental at this point. His head corch was a dog-chit playcaller that hellen keller could sniff out. New team, new juice, and he'd be fine.
It’ll be interesting to see who he signs with. Would anyone just to see him for a year? Knowing he could portal out again. No, he still needs shoulder surgery, and I’m pretty sure either the hamstring and/or core is still bugging him. Yes, mentally he’s a mess, but physically he is still ****ed. He should take a redshirt year and get his surgery and get healthy.
Agree. I said a few weeks back I think it’s probably going to be a good G5 school. They could brag that they have a five-star recruit, and he could (with the right school), take the time to heal and get some good coaching, and make his way back up to a top school - if he heals and improves. It’ll be interesting to see who he signs with. The best place for him is a school where he can take a medical redshirt and work with a really good QB coach.Mentally ****ed - 100%
But it's way more than just head in his *** and PTSD from the last 2 years. He has a low football IQ and UF and Slingblade didn't do anything to develop him there.
I think he's one of those guys that will explode in his final year. But I think he still has 1 season of struggling and growing pains on the horizon before we see what he can actually be. Maybe not 14 interceptions type of struggle.
I expect him to land somewhere cushy and warm with no real expectations, like UCLA or something. I can't see any team with an actual pulse taking a chance on him right now. It’ll be interesting to see who he signs with. Would anyone just to see him for a year
