2017 or 2018 defense wins you the CFP. 2009 or 2016 defense wins you a CFP game, at minimum. 2013 defense at least gets you to the ACC Championship and we probably win.

2014, 2015, 2019, 2020, and 2022 defenses straight up sucked. 2021 was probably better than this last year but that’s not saying much.
