At this point, anyone can feel free to fact-check all my prior posts on this.

I've said that The Gator has a questionable NIL Collective that is funded by mercurial guys like Hugh Hathnocock.

Yes, there are a lot of wealth Florida alums. No, they are not freely giving money away for a "buyout" that can be "converted" into "NIL money". That's the way you become POOR, by giving your money away with no strings attached.

Glad to see that the Florida Collective is BACK TO POVERTY.

If these idiots actually just went heavy for HS commits, and left nothing for the portal they are absolute morons.

How as a coach who was on the hot seat and knowing **** well if you don't win big you are out, and when you have a great freshman QB, how do you not go all our for proven guys? They should have just bailed on HS recruiting and swing big on portal and hoped they had a high hit rate.... But this is just dumb lol

I mean I guess it helps them for their next coach... Maybe that was their plan then knowing **** well they aren't going to win next year. But meanwhile all these freshman get experience and then you will have lagway in yr 3 with a new coach... Idk

Florida's portal/recruiting strategy makes a lot more sense when you realize that they have the same schedule next year as they did this year, and Billy's going to argue that going 7-5 and "the future" should give him another year.

Exactly. If they went all in on players who can play right away, they’d expect 10 wins. This way he can go 6-6 again and say “we’re still a young team full of freshmen” and keep his job another year.

If they would have just bought up a ton of recruits two years ago, they’d be ready to win now but since they waited through three years of Billy being horrible before they started buying up recruits, it’s going to be another 2-3 years before any of this pays off. By then Billy will be canned, they’ll still be on the hook for buyout money and most of this current class will be in the portal.
