Game 4: UCF 2/17/26. 8-7 W (4-0)

Wow what a win. Caught up with one of the guys at the field after.. Galvin is inured and out for a little bit. Evans is back and is as we expected the Saturday night starter. Sure the news for that will become public at some point this week. Sebastian Santos is tomorrows starter and possibly the permanent mid week guy if all goes well. Evans suspension was due to some academic reasoning. Apparently didn’t meet NCAA threshold for hours. Assumed it was nothing major; have never heard bad from his teammates about him.

The ump really bailed him out and us truly. His first AB, it was a 3-2 count, and from the stands it looked like it was a clear ball four and the ump called it a strike. If he had called it ball 4, we probably wouldn't have won, and Durso likely unravels. But credit to brother Durso for stepping up
 
This is what I’ll say from this game:

That start was ugly and pitching is a real concern that we’ve addressed plenty, but acting like the sky is falling over six innings of baseball is something I’ll never understand

UCF had that game locked and gave us that game, but we took the opportunity they gave us

Yes there are real question marks but it’s game 4, long season ahead of us

6 innings? We had posters saying our offense was trash after 6 outs on Friday. Baseball is a grind. It’s the longest season with the longest games. The point is consistency. This isn’t football. It doesn’t make our problems go away. We aren’t even talking about the fact we’ve had 6 errors in like 35 innings of play, which is just horrific to go with the pitching problems. But we also don’t have spring training or any pre season. They will find their groove
