2027 Gabriel Osborne Jr 4* CB from Mustang, OK (Mustang HS)

The competition is crazy. I like that a lot. I like how physical they are. I’m very violent and physical. I feel like I can bring that to the team. They see me as a DB all around. They think I can play everything.

.......

The Sooners are doing everything they can to keep him home.

However, Miami is a legitimate contender in this recruitment.

“They really bumped up,” Osborne said. “It’s a green flag. I like them a lot. I love the coaches and players. I love the defense. That’s what I’m really looking for — a school that can put me in the best position for me.”

.........

Osborne has not locked in any official visits.

db i really really like n wish we could land right here.

oklahoma currently has the #1 class n for a strange reason in state they are loaded thios year.

In terms of the big name guys, communication is particularly strong with CB Gabe Osborne (Oklahoma City, OK)

Hope we put full press on him. After YEARS of lackluster CB play, I refuse to go back. Last season was amazing to watch, and I don’t remember the last time we been this stacked. Hope we hit it out of the park with the hire, and clean up.

Intel on Osborne has been tough to come by, as the elite defender isn't talking much these days. 247Sports spoke with several industry sources to get the latest on the race for the dynamic corner.

According to those we spoke with, four schools have separated for Osborne. Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, and Miami are the schools to watch at the moment. A three-sport athlete who is also a high-level basketball player and track and field star, Osborne has been focused on his spring sports more than recruiting. He's been on several unofficial visits throughout the last few months, including trips to Ohio State and Alabama in April and Miami in March. He's also been to Oklahoma on multiple occasions as the Sooners are just up the road from Mustang.

There hasn't been a clear read on Osborne from sources inside the personnel industry, but the consensus seemed to lean toward Oklahoma or Alabama at the moment. There is some wariness that a school like Miami could make an overwhelming financial offer, but sources near the recruitment feel it will be tough to overcome the Sooners. We're still waiting on official visit dates for Osborne to see who will jockey for the last visit.
