too bad...Suspended Hurricanes linebacker Gabriel Terry was tased during his arrest early Friday morning, moments after school police officers found the 19-year old freshman sleeping face down on the steps near the rear entrance of his dorm and with a Ziploc bag filled with 26.8 grams of marijuana in the left-side pocket of his shorts.

According to the arrest affidavit from the Coral Gables police department, officers woke Terry up at around 3:48 a.m. and asked him several times to stand up and put his hands behind his back, but he did not comply. Terry then began to argue and pushed an officer away with his body before police shoved him to the ground in an attempt to handcuff him. Terry, who turns 20 on Sept. 21st, was warned he would be tased according to the report, but didn't comply and was able to standup before police used the taser to subdue him. The report said Terry eventually cooperated.

Coral Gables fire rescue was called "to retrieve the [taser] prongs" from Terry's back. Terry was charged with felony possession of cannabis and resisting an officer without violence. He was released Saturday after posting $6,000 bond.

1 game suspension at FSU.........................I wonder if our defense would be better with Gabe Terry, Gionni Paul, and Eddie Johnson..

Just another example of how crappy this defense is. It seems like every player that leaves improves. Just proves the scheme and the coaching sucks

Lmao getting worked up over a 3-4star recruit playing well against fcs competition. Staff sux but u guys try to hard.

Too bad he didn't respect Folden enough to stay out of trouble while here. Seems like his JUCO coach and his coach at Tenn State have managed to connect with him and get through to him.

Of course, if he was still here we'd be hearing from anonymous coaches in the local papers about he's undersized and unathletic and didn't have enough stars coming out of HS.

He was really good, one of the best athletes on the team. Was never going to be a JAG. He was a DE that qualified for states in 110m

More like a 1-2 star. Would've never played on an elite team. Which we used to be. Mediocrity is acceptable now, which is why only Miami fans, alumni and Miami media consider AG hot seat worthy.

So what? We're not running a prison football team. If they are going to act that trashy, they don't get to play here. Just because other teams accept criminals doesn't mean we should.

Too bad he didn't respect himself enough.

not shocking all studs when they leave this team , shocking

Terry was being used as a rush linebacker his true freshman season. He was undersized at 205 pounds and had a speed move. He needed a lot of work. So what if he is tearing up at a mediocre Division IAA (FCS) school? He should because he certainly was athletic enough. This kid spent time at Boys Town in Omaha and he was arrested while a student at Miami. I'm just happy this kid might get his life together as opposed to ending up in prison.
