26 grams is not a felony always thought golden kicked him off the team to quick trying to suck up to donna and the NCAA..

More than 20 grams is a felony. It is much less than the trigger amount for a min man under the trafficking statute, but it is still a felony (sec. 893.13(6)(a), if I remember right).

too bad...Suspended Hurricanes linebacker Gabriel Terry was tased during his arrest early Friday morning, moments after school police officers found the 19-year old freshman sleeping face down on the steps near the rear entrance of his dorm and with a Ziploc bag filled with 26.8 grams of marijuana in the left-side pocket of his shorts.

According to the arrest affidavit from the Coral Gables police department, officers woke Terry up at around 3:48 a.m. and asked him several times to stand up and put his hands behind his back, but he did not comply. Terry then began to argue and pushed an officer away with his body before police shoved him to the ground in an attempt to handcuff him. Terry, who turns 20 on Sept. 21st, was warned he would be tased according to the report, but didn't comply and was able to standup before police used the taser to subdue him. The report said Terry eventually cooperated.

Coral Gables fire rescue was called "to retrieve the [taser] prongs" from Terry's back. Terry was charged with felony possession of cannabis and resisting an officer without violence. He was released Saturday after posting $6,000 bond.

Golden is a decent/good recruiter. Never have I said otherwise, but the positions he puts these kids in on the field is not fair to them, nor is the coaching they are receiving on that side of the ball.

Can't argue with that. Frustration levels are high man, everyone, I think is just over the BS, but your point is more than valid.

I remember this guy being one of the few that actually caught your eye as an edge rusher--far undersized but looked to he a good athlete.
That was obviously in only a few plays.


Now, to be fair, we have to acknowledge a couple of things. One is that he seemed to have screwed up a significant number of times and they probably gave him a ton of passes before the boot. Second is that a lot of our players would probably look good on transfer to Tennessee State.

So what? We're not running a prison football team. If they are going to act that trashy, they don't get to play here. Just because other teams accept criminals doesn't mean we should.

Why in the **** should UM hold themselves any higher than anyone else? We are not an ivy league school, it is not a privilege to play at the U for the academics. We are not perennial title contenders, it is not a privilege to play at the U and get a ring. We don't pump out first rounders, it is not a privilege to play at the U to join the former pipeline.

Miami is a middle of the road, jack of some things (weather, sun tans), king of nothing (academics, athletics) institution that needs to start policing its athletes like what it really is.

Just win some ******* football games christ.
