I don't think JKS or Hoover are realistic unfortunately.

If Mestemaker doesn't follow Morris, everybody is going to be beating down his door. Texas Tech needs a new QB too.

Sellers is a great kid and possesses all the tools to be high draft pick. But after the season he just had I wouldn't go that route.

Rocco lost two amazing NFL receivers. His completion % is similar to Leavitt. Definitely needs to improve there but he throws way more downfield than Beck has until recently:

My Portal QB list would probably be:
1. Riaola
2. JKS
3. Mestemaker
4. Some order of Sorsby then Leavitt/ then Becht and Mensah
5. Malik Washington / Demond Williams / CJ Bailey / Hoover / Byrum Brown /Lanorris Sellers

Qb2 options: Austin Simmons / Katin Houser / Braden Atkinson / Colton Joseph / Ryder Burton / Bryce Schondelmyer

I think Mestemaker just follows Morris and JKS stays at Cal especially if Cal hires Tosh. I think Miami may try to swing on Riaola and Leavitt first but if they don't hop on ASAP I think we just get Sorsby

I've watched three Cal games so put your "watch the games" bull**** in your pipe and smoke it.

I said he's very good and the announcers raved about his ball placement but he's also thrown quite a few INTs and has a pretty pedestrian QB rating (129 vs Beck in the 160s).

The drops pointed out also explains some of the issue.

I haven't watched him a ton, but do you think his rushing stats from last year were an anomaly (think nearly 400 yards) or should we expect him to be a credible threat as a runner? @TwentySix lemme know if you got an opinion here

Yeah me too. It's a shame his season went the way it did. He's a good kid with all the potential in the world. Talking to him, you think.. this is the guy. But taking a step and looking at his body of work, specifically his decision making, he's just too much of a risk.

He’s throwing less and running only when he needs to. Has same amount of rushing TDs as last year, 8, but significantly drop off in rushing. Not sure if it’s injury related that we aren’t being told about:

He's a leader too! Not an NFL top prospect, but can win big in college. My humble opinion.

You're really comparing a 5th year SR (who played at loaded UGA) to a true FR at Cal? Smfh JKS would do well at UM, and I don't care what stats you want to throw out there.

Previous passing stats didn’t include attempts and completions. As you can see, drop off in passing attempts. 2 games to go and he won’t throw as well as he did last year in terms of attempts, completions and yards.

Obvious drop off in TD passes. He would do very well with our receivers.

Thanks bud. I'm a fan. Even better if he's a real threat in the run game too. Mario and Mirabel have gotten their best out of RBs when the QB has to be accounted for in the run game (A. Brown & Cam). Similar with Dawson at Houston when Tune had a big year on the ground

Honestly haven’t watched much Iowa State, especially this year. I thought he was… okay? in the games I watched last year but I don’t have a strong opinion on him tbh
