Ol' Benny LOVES Mark Whipple. So success while being attached to Roethlisberger doesn't necessarily translate to college.

I'd actually be wayyyy more concerned about Georgia Tech being relevant if the former Steelers OC they were hiring was Bruce Arians. I know he didn't really do **** at mighty Temple but I do think in the right situation that his personality and offensive mind could do well in college.

Just looking at some stats; Paul Johnson was 3-8 vs Miami during his time at tech. Before that Miami had a 3 game losing streak to them when Chan Gailey was the coach. Richt and his staff need to watch this hire closely. GT is sleeping contender in the ACC.

He also has a SB ring from being the OC of a SB winning team. Has Richt ever been a HC in a National Championship game before? All those years and never even made it to the NC game. Sad.

Oh yea and if you want to say getting a ring as an OC is an achievement then Richt has 2. Just sayin....
