Tennessee was ranked #20 and just beat a bad UiF team to move up to #18 and guess what? They now play Vandy who played an equal nobody and was moved ahead of Miami but this will help the Vandy resume if they beat Tenn to stay ahead of Miami.

So root for Tennessee this weekend.

Pitt win vs GT was more impressive than what Tennessee or Vandy did and yet Pitt gets ranked behind North Texas, Tulane, JMU and the same ******* GT team that they beat.

So Miami is not playing a team that should be ranked above all of those teams.

If this doesn’t tell you what’s going to happen to Miami, I don’t know what does.

Find something better to do this Saturday because the outcome doesn’t matter. Just win the game wether by 1 point or 100, it won’t make a difference.

G5 teams can and have beaten top 10 teams in bowls that matter, and could easily do it in the playoffs. Boise (who was a bad team aside from Jeanty) played Penn State close until the last 5 minutes.

No one says they shouldn’t be included it if the EARN it and have a special team. I wrote that in my original posts. They don’t ever deserve a bye or home game. If they are good enough, they get in as an at-large.

This year, no G5 team should be allowed in.

If they want to change it to the best G5 has a play in game with the last ranked team allowed in, so be it. That would be fine.

From a purist perspective, that only works with legitimate round robin play.

Without such a format, playoffs need to be expanded to appropriate competition level to ensure it's "settled on the field" in greatest extent possible.

Right now we don't have that.

I'm a fan of Lashlee's recent "Top 4 from each league is in" proposal. Take the beauty contest out of it completely and put forth a broad, objective standard for teams to meet.

Top 4 from every conference would neuter the SEC to 4 teams and I am here for it.

All the holding calls on us and our NFL 1st round DE's never get these calls.......Our problem is the ACC is run by idiots.
