FUIAP: Barry Jackson says we suck

Not concerned at all with the secondary. Especially the way Carter and Smith came on strong. But if you’re not worried about the DLine you’re not paying attention. We’re 3 deep at DE and a green tree AA is the team’s best DT. Everything else after that is a total mystery. Is Ford ready? Can Nesta compete as a Fr? Will Bethel take the next step? No ******* clue

We cane fans might need to take off our orange\green glasses and quit drinking the koolaid and realize it might take cmr a couple more recruiting classes before we can absorb losses like this.golden(foldem) and coach d(turkey ****) didn't leave the cupboard bare but they sure didn't leave it loaded.our oline play plus depth proved that.we won 10 games right now we have enough talent to make some noise with but not enough to win championship's.

Jackson is the only one at the Herald that I read. Cote has decided that being a progressive hack then excelling at sports is more important to him. The rest of the paper is so obsessed with bashing Trump that it has ceased to be a source of reliable news. I used to subscribe to their internet offering but got sick of pop up advertising interrupting my reading.

The only good that paper is good for is the bottom of a bird cage.

I will just say this. Diaz is going to be blitz happy as all ****. Should the secondary not be up to the task, as our DL is taking a step down this year, the offense better be able to light up the scoreboard as much as the opposing offense is.

His only other option will be to play zone and then we'll get shredded as we did all year.

Diaz will be public enemy number one this year IMHO. I believe it will be a long year for the defense.

Now, ball-hawking starting cornerback Malek Young

Kid was a decent player but "ball-hawking", seriously?

So losing Folden's guys and replacing them with Rick's guys is supposed to be a bad thing? If it is, then we're in a world of hurt in more ways than this. This is year 3. No more lame excuses. We should be upgrading at every position now that Rick's recruits are replacing Folden's.

i don't think anyone would dispute that Richt's players are better than Al Bauxite's .... the issue is numbers.

we just don't have enough guys to build real championship depth, because kids seem to come to UM with one eye on the exit. we need to keep the best players on the roster for more than 3 years. otherwise, it's going to continue to be two steps forward and one step back. we've seen that in the both of richt's two seasons, now.

it's the other half of the equation, logically. first part is keeping local stud players at home, and not getting out-recruited by Alabama, LSU, etc. (which is tough since they are always dropping bags). the other part is you need guys who are good, to stay. clemson kept all of their junior DL, who were more highly rated than our guys, and yet our knuckleheads skip town.

it's a problem that needs to be solved.

We will have 85 guys on scholarship this year with the vast majority being Rick's guys. That should be enough to build depth, big fella.

These fooly mf's are going to be curled up in the fetal position making the same excuses in year 6 & 7.

They blame everything on Folden because they don't wanna hold Richt accountable. If he's supposed to be a top 10 Coach then it shouldn't take him 8 years to win the ACC & contend for the playoffs.

High expectations are not unfair to him, if by year 3 or year 4 he hasn't won the ACC he's not going to at all.

I support Richt 100% I absolutely love the guy, but I'm under no illusion, he should be expected to win big here & there's nothing wrong with that.

Only our fanbase could have fans in it that would turn on Mark Richt before they turned on Al Golden!!! Simply amazing.

I expect us to be very good next year, we will be preseason top 10. If we can settle the QB position(and I expect us to) the sky is the limit. Not many teams have 3 deep of superstars at every position, we will be fine.

Yeah because having high expectations for him and the team is "turning on him."

if we're at a full 85 this season? i'm good, but the roster will still be young. listen, it's better than a kick in the d*ck
