Is he going to replace Randy Shannon's "brother man" recruiting spiel with a "hermano man" recruiting spiel? The Gaytor fans will love that.
what do you mean by those two phrases?

Are you freaking kidding me?

When UM hired Randy, the Gaytors were all over their boards claiming that Randy was using his race to recruit. They called it his "brother man" recruiting pitch. This was around the same time that Charlie Strong couldn't get consideration for the UF top job.

Gaytors fans are very racist, and they were threatened (at first) that Randy's blackness would be a major recruiting asset for UM.
seems your post agrees with their assessment. unless I'm reading you wrong?

Are you brain-dead? I was being sarcastic originally.

Why don't you just post less and stop worrying about how to read people's posts. Which you clearly can't do.

Florida isn’t any type of blue blood program. You take out Urban Meyer and they’re a perennial 9 win team, I would take UT or the Nebraska job before I took the UF job.

I don't really want to defend them, but that Spurrier guy was pretty good. 122-27-1 and 87-12 in the SEC.

So you would go to Nebraska, a ****hole state for talent and Tennessee as a coach before UF? Sounds like you're getting caught up in your feelings.

You’re right, I’ll just avoid an FBI investigation into 10 of my inherited players

Tennessee's job sucks.

They've had one good stretch in 40+ years and they ran that coach out of town.

The high school football stinks in Tennessee and you have to recruit in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Louisiana with a bunch of other alphas.

ok thanks, bro.

Just because UF is a better program than VT doesn't make it a better job. I don't feel like listing all the pros but start with less pressure and demand. Look at Beamer - one title appearance in 30 years made him a god there. That gets you fired at UiF.

But if you win 10 games there, you’ll be a god and I can sit there until a bigger job opens up...btw they also competitively recruit Ohio and Mississippi. I’ll be shocked if Matt Campbell isn’t the coach there next spring.

And if you take out a decade of our history we're pretty mediocre historically, too.

Mostly because we didnt really have a real football program until the late 70's early 80's, which we dominated the 80's until we went on probation in the 90's, rebuilt into the greatest team of all time in 2001, Then had the scandal and 3 of the worst coaches in UM history back to back. You cant compare our mediocrity with UF's. Ours was mostly brought on by probation and sanctions, not by being a terrible football program.

Nobody leaves Tennessee for other jobs. They'll pay top 5 money and have the prestige of the SEC.

Fulmer averaged 10 wins and got run out on a rail.

Their fans are just a delusional as most.

Oh no, I’m not under playing his obvious success there but even he won 11 games or better three times and that was in ‘93, ‘95, and ‘96. The rest are 10 games or lower

Jesus, why are you making me do this

I feel like you're 15 years old with this post.

We didn't have a real football program because, well, we weren't good.

We dominated for a decade then regressed. Then dominated for 4 years and regressed.

Saying we had the worst coaches ever is wrong and just an excuse.

And Muschump and McEltoof won 3 division championships....if I put those next to their records it looks more impressive too.

Again, I’m not taking a shot at the Ole’ Ball coach, I’m just stating the truth.

In 12 years, Spurrier failed to win 10 games only 3 times.

Muschamp went 7-6 twice and 4-8 once.

McElwain won the division with a record identical to Spurrier's worst season.

Trying Bridgewater for a WR is what got Muschamp fired...other than that, I thought He was a good HC that should've gotten another year.
