Fisher credited Golden for regularly recruiting quality players to Miami, [even as Jimbo routinely beat out Al as in Dalvin Cook et al.] no easy feat given the restrictions the coach faced during an NCAA investigation and subsequent sanctions he inherited.
Miami did not agree, firing Golden Sunday following a 58-0 loss to Clemson. Golden went 32-25 with the Hurricanes and 0-5 against FSU.
