The ACC should just hail Mary and offer a huge contract and payment to a couple SEC schools. Something like UF and South Carolina wouldn't add any TV market, but would be a juicy steal from the SEC.
Make a list of teams that will be better off if the ACC dissolves.Even though the ACC owns the TV rights what happens if the ACC dissolves? Is that a possibility?
"Basically, the ACC owns the TV rights of every school until 2036."As discussed in the Conference realignment thread the problem is not the exit fee but the GOR with the ACC that runs through 2036.

120 million it’s not even close to the real amount of money that you need in order to leave the conference.

Now make a list of teams who will be worse off.
Ok now tell me if there is a chance in fire popping **** that there are anywhere near enough votes to override the GOR and dissolve the conference.
Sad face.
Remember when the ACCs “power move” was adding Pitt and Syracuse?
If the ACC dissolves, at least 9 teams could find a better home in the B1G, SEC, PAC12, or Big12. All 4 already issue more per team than the ACC and could improve with a few teams.Make a list of teams that will be better off if the ACC dissolves.

Is it enough unhappy teams that can cripple the ACC?To be fair it’s not just Miami that’ll wait. There’s more than just a few teams in this conference that’s unhappy.
I’m sorry but you think taxpayers should pay for FSU to get out of a deal that it signed off on?It’s been a while since I’ve looked at the agreement. Is there a clause that if one team breaks the agreement then it’s re-opened including being able to drop without penalty? If so, Desantis and the legislature should do the right thing and pay for FSU to leave.
A good possibility. Personally, I prefer SEC.Still think going to Big 10 would be a good move for Miami if the ACC dissolves or teams leave.
Not enough teams have a better landing spot than the ACC.If enough teams decide to jump ship, shouldn't that force the ACC to dissolve? Then there wouldn't be an ACC GOR deal to buy out...maybe I don't understand though.
Where are they going to go?If enough teams decide to jump ship, shouldn't that force the ACC to dissolve? Then there wouldn't be an ACC GOR deal to buy out...maybe I don't understand though.
Why wouldn't they go to the PAC or Big12? I feel like enough of them could improve their situation and still improve those conferences.Where are they going to go?
They're talking a big game for a University that couldn't afford to replace the urinals at their on campus stadium.![]()

The idea of Florida State leaving the ACC first came up during a board of trustees meeting on Friday where Alford was asked about it.www.on3.com
