They have to be better if for other reason as they were ******* terrible last year. Still feel like they’ll struggle to get 7-8 wins

With a QB who wants to run, unlike a QB who can run, it's pretty easy to dictate where the pressure comes from and have rolled coverages to where you expect him to go, especially with a mediocre at best OL.
Here's hoping Heatherman knows this.

I think we should put in all out 6'5" plus players in against FSPoo and just have them put hands up on obvious passing downs...he'll never see anything.

I'm all for it. Break their ******* spirit. I want to see garnet tears in abundance at the Rock. They haven't reached our lows yet as a program and seemingly have a sense of pride amongst mediocrity. Sn, this kid runs 10+ times a game, he does that vs Bama and **** could get ugly early.

The game this year is in Tallahassee.

I actually liked him at BC before he quit. Thought he was a gamer. He will provide a needed pop to that ghetto program. How much will depend on FSU's OL.

Why? How is he a "gamer"?

I realize he looked good as a sophomore in 2023. Three big RUNNING days where he went for over 100 yards, including Army, GaTech, and (duh) Miami. But his PASSING on those (run) leg days?
---4 for 9 for 51 yards, 0 TDs, and 1 INT (WIN over Army)
---17 for 29 for 255 yards, 0 TDs, and 1 INT (WIN over GaTech)
---15 for 25 for 151 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs (LOSS to Miami)
And his 2 best passing performances in 2023 were both LOSSES (FSU and Louisville). Normally a "gamer" gets you more success than 7-6 in his best season.

Then you look at 2024. Top rushing day was 73 yards against FSU (he had SIX better days in 2023). His top passing day was 254 yards gainst UVa (he had THREE better days in 2023). YES, he beat F$U (and who didn't, at least in 2024). He was BENCHED against Syracuse and his backup QB (and the running backs) pulled out a win without him. In between those two book-ends, he won ZERO-POINT-ZERO other ACC games. He DID beat Duquesne, though, with his 2024-best QBR of 99.3, where he threw the ball 10 times and ran the ball once. So he went 4-4 in the games he started, though he certainly should not be credited with the Syracuse game in which he was benched for ineffectiveness.

Sooooooo, NOT a "gamer".
