Fsu Pushing Keir Thomas Out

Chris gamble played one year of ball.(b ball guy at Dillard the best ball program in broward) Was likely the best wr in broward and lined up sparingly at CB.

Bryant McFadden was my highs school teammate and friend..was recruited hard by um..Butch came by school. He went on his official to fsu and cookie Thomas showed him around and Peter Warwick had a bday party at the club and it was a wrap.

Elvis Dumervil did well at um camp. I know because I was there and in his group lol. Um was looking more so at Taurean Charles, there also was a kid from jax last name Anderson, and John Wood (American High)..but Dumervil had like a million sacks on Dade that year and did what he wanted at that camp.

I think Dumervil was a Butch miss no? I just know he was a monster at Jackson. Kind of reminds me of some of the kids we are passing on this year. Shakur Smith, and the other sack king in Dade..his name escapes me. But guys that just get to the QB.

Gamble was an athlete X10..Went to Nova middle IIRC and whooped those inner city kids in bball. They said he just played JS bball for the ring. Dillard had a dynasty during that time.

Dumervil was class of 2002, so he was miss by larry coker. Dillard in football went to states during Gamble's senior year and lost to Palm Bay hs.

Here's the thing about kids like Shakur Smith and Dumervil...when Butch was HC, when did we ever recruit undersized DEs?

C. Green, J. Green, A. Wiliams, J. Mcdougal were all at least 6'2. Alton Wright and John Square were tall. ****, we went to Texas for a lot of Dlineman.

Rashard Jeanty was a miss in 2001. He played 2 years of college and rode out to Canada. Ended up starting for the Bengals at LB. His teammates at carol city, Willie Jones and Peterson, turned out to be busts and they were undersized.

Just remember the Weaver twins out of MNW. Still, they were switched to LB and neither of them were ever productive and barely played. Also, they were the only undersized kids that were recruited, and that was likely due to them being very high twitch athletes. The one that went FIU was the fastest kid on the team the year that he transferred over and the one that stayed at UM ran in the 4.3s. They were very high twitch athletes.

-Palm Bay had Reggie Nelson and a bunch of big time kids. Dillard was LOADED every year....its actually crazy watching them be almost a doormat because how deep Dillard area is/used to be. Alot of the kids that use to go to Dillard are getting spread out to the privates in broward..(ST thomas, U school,Gibbons, Heritage)

-Correct..Dumervil was extemely undersized..but Just looking at his stature his **** hands were down to his knees...(wingspan) and he wa sextremely strong...(i worked out with him one off season at his house in the garage..his dad was like an s&c coach and throwback sh*t he ha dus doing)

-Carol City was LOADED on their dline for like a 4 year period....Rashad Jeanty was a beast...Willie Jones was an all american and dade sack leader recruited by everybody...but was a lock to fsu (his lil bro is in nfl now played lb for fsu last year)..Peterson wasnt a bust or undersized either..they were all solid size...Peterson went to Rutgers. They werent bust i dont think just average players there. The Freak (ricky francois) was actually at Carol City the same time as well. So that was a team with 5 div 1 dlineman on the roster...as well as pumping out div 1 linebackers after in Willie Williams who transferred over from Pace.

Man i miss real recruiting talk like this on the board.

Good job Barboni and Jassid of bringing it back to life.....I';m waitring for DMONEY and the crew to start a thread about their area guys (columbus, down south kids)....

**** that's a whole different level of strong

The Weavers both had decent runs in the NFL. Both were ST beasts

U guys dont know the wonders we did by canning El Foldo. These are the type of kids who are footall players and high effort, end up at Louisvillle and wreck **** while we cry.

I've never been a guy who followed recruiting real closely other than reading Rivals and watching the ESPN shows. Follow the boards when it's recruiting season, but the stories that are being posted here are the things I come to message boards for.

With Golden away from the program and a fresh start looking to take hold, hopefully some of you posters who know actual behind-the-scenes information will start coming out posting real talk like this more often.

I remember the hype around John Wood. One of my friends played on the same Dline as him at american and went to Minnesota before coming back to FIU. I think he got kicked out of UM during his freshman year.

Your friend you're talking about is Damian Haye. Those are my homies and I played HS with them. Haye was big with a great first step but slow and stiff. Wood was the real ****** deal 6'4" 240 and ran like a deer. Tried to tell my dawg slow down on the herb, at least until you're draft eligible.

Jeanty, who was definitely UM caliber, would've flunked out after 1 year just like he did at UCF. That's why he ended up there in the first place. Dude played NT at CC and was one of the 5 fastest on the team. Zo Peterson was legit too, fast as ****, grades were why he landed at Rutgers. His knees betrayed him in college. Willie Jones, however was a bust, but anyone who played against those teams knew he had the most hype and least talent of the three.

Good stuff but you're thinking about Eric Moncur, Freak wasn't in high school when those cats were there. Moncur started against us as a 10th grader because Chris Horne was out. **** Horne and Kenton Emile were animals too, I don't know how Horne wound up at FIU and Emile didn't go anywhere.

This brings back memories. I played against Dillard and Palm Bay that 2001 year. Dillard was loaded. Had like 17 kids go d1 that yr. that Palm Bay team had Reggie Nelson and joe Cohen who went to uf as a fb and ate himself into a nt but played for chargers for a lil bit. Also played against cc that year in playoffs at traz. Willie jones was all over the field. Guy was an animal. Grown man out there. Dillard had a linebacker named Stanford rhule who hit like a truck. Went to ucf. Also had Mathias askew( baby hewey) at dt and I believe Jovan haye on dline as well both played in league. Anyone remember Abdul hodge from BA. Dude was an animal. Played for packers for awhile. I can't believe how bad Dillard plantation and ely have fallen off. Everyone is going to st Thomas or heritage now.

**** yeah, Hodge was fast as ****, him and Ray Piquion from Beach were 2 of the hardest LBs to get a hat on. BA had a DT/OG named David Walker I think. Dude was strong as an ox. Willie Jones was all speed and motor, highly productive but didn't have much at the point of attack. If you ran at him, you could have success, passing downs and running away from him, it was a wrap.... my team didn't play Dillard but I remember their team, they were loaded. One of my homies who played 4 CC back then, his pops coached on that Dillard staff.
