FSU wouldn't take him as a HC, and if they did, it would be for 1-2 years until they got the guy they wanted.
 
I will always be grateful Butch made Miami elite again. But be realistic there's a reason he's at FIU. After the UNC scandal nobody would touch him. Even though he wanted to coach he had to sit out a few years. If Urban Liar was forced out from the Suckeyes does anyone think he'd have trouble finding a new high profile gig?
 
If Butch told some of his fan boys in here to sit down and watch while he banged their wife, they'd respond "yes daddy." FSU could have hired him last year and didn't. What makes you think they'll hire him now? Butch was sitting at home begging for a job and no one would call him. He got a call from a desperate Pete Garcia hopping that lightning will strike twice.
 
FSU ain't firing Taggert. The buyout is over $20 mil. I highly doubt they would hire Butch even if they did,

Butch would come back here in a heartbeat, but nobody with the purse strings will ever allow it. I was pulling hard for Butch when we were looking and he was begging for the job. That in itself should put to rest any and all hopes of him coming back. This man basically used his platform at ESPN and said he's sitting by his phone and would **** near work for free.

He ain't coming. We got Richt. And we're going to push his shlt in on Saturday.

The irony to all this; according to some of his worshippers here, is that he left because the U wouldn't pay him enough. So he bolts to one of the worst franchises in the history of the NFL.

Richt fell into our laps. He's had a helluva lot to overcome as well - 15 years or so of mediocrity. He took the job knowing fully the challenges he faced - deteriorated relationships with SFL HS's, a roster full of Folden recruits, facilities that desperately needed upgrades, etc.

Is he "there" yet? No. I don't think he thinks so either.

Will Richt get "there"? Time will tell.
 
fsu would never hire butch bc they can get someone better than butch. they could've hired butch at any time and at any point and they didnt.

You keep using this analogy - as anything fresh or original appears to be way beyond your capability, but - you seem very familiar with the short bus to school - and after reading your posts - it's highly probable you're the one that had to ride the short bus - with a short . . . well - probably took two or three minutes to find/grip it with tweezers - to whiz.

ummmm, you talking about the first three years with insufficient players to scrimmage - or the last two years - where he did a lot better than Richt - and Richt didn't lose 31 scholarships.

Now. Factor in NCAA sanctions,

factor in the loss of personnel due to no bowl games,

factor in the SI front cover that UM should shut down football,

factor in the negative recruiting tactics during those first years - none of which was his fault -

and since you're such a genius with numbers - why don't you factor in 31 scholarship reductions and how that may have affected the Win/Loss record you so wonderfully posted?

Mark Richt has won 13 games before, so i don't know where u got 10 games is his ceiling. Alot of u same fans was giving it to Butch before he went 11-1......even after the NCAA put us on crippling probation. When i see a team stacked with Richt players then i can say where i see us going. Richt players at UGA decided to stay as SRs and win the SEC and play for a title. Golden players decide to bolt for the NFL like Brad Kaaya and the 2 DTs.
