FSU has bad players

DJ Ukulele is legitimately without question the worst QB in the country.
We certainly know what it's like to have a terrible number 1 and an even worse back up. We lived it. Manny couldn't get good players and norvell is the same. time to pull away from these guys. They have a $67million ball and chain.

I can't imagine a QB wanting to go there at this point. Their recruiting class is going to completely fall apart. When that dude is your best QB option.... man, that's bad.
There are +'s.

- Immediate playing time
- Norvell still has a concrete rep as a good QB developer

However, given their current circumstances, their leverage ability in negotiating for either a portal or HS QB has essentially been nullified. They're going to have to overpay just to get a decent starter from either medium.

Well, his rep as a QB developer is taking a HUGE hit right now.

Florida State got every possible break they could get last year and Travis constantly bailed them out. I told the guy I know that they were gonna come crashing down and he swore they were the new college football power…

I have a legitmate question:

If I donate, how much actually goes to the players? I am aware that certain charities have a certain amount of money they can keep for themselves for administration/expense purposes. In certain bad examples, like Wounded Warriors, only about .59 on the dollar goes to veterans that actually need it, and in other good examples, like Doctors Without Borders, that number is somewhere in the .87 on the dollar range.

I am not accusing anyone of impropriety, you understand. But I want to know that if I donate, the majority of the money will actually go to the players, not for advertisements or administrative costs.

If you could give me an answer to this, I'd appreciate it. :)

Couldn't happen to a better fanbase. This was a HUGE gut check and now they can come down to earth. The whole country is making fun of them

Not necessarily.

DJ U was already a finished product on his 3rd team by the time he got to FSU, that's not on Norvell.

Norvell has very solid resume of getting good productivity out of fairly average QB's:

Taylor Kelly - 3,635yds 28TD's 12INT's; 2013 AZ ST

Mike Bercovici - 3,861yds 30TD's 9INT's; 2015 AZ ST

Riley Ferguson - 3,698yds 32TD's 10INT's; 2016 Memphis

Riley Ferguson - 4,257yds 38TD's 9INT's; 2017 Memphis

Brady White - 3,296yds 26TD's 9INT's; 2018 Memphis

Brady White - 4,014yds 33TD's 11INT's; 2019 Memphis

And then of course what he did with Jordan Travis in 2022 & 23.

DJU has been awful since Clemson, you can't put that entirely on Norvell. It just so happens that Ukulele is even worse than expected to the point where a guy who made his career off getting average QB's to play above their means can't even fix DJ.

What Norvell does take a huge hit on though, is the decision to bet his season on DJU. Same with Hugh Freeze at Auburn; betting your season on a bad QB is about as dumb as it gets as it pertains to HC decision making. Especially, when your forte as a Coach is Offense & QB play in general. He saw this kid every day in Spring & Fall camp & knew he couldn't complete simple routine easy passes on a consistent basis & didn't have the wherewithal or the courage to not go into the season with a better plan or being prepared.

What's even worse, is not benching him after the Boston College debacle. After that game DJU should've been riding the pine for the rest of the season.

But that QB development kinda goes out the window when none of the guys you recruited and brought in can beat out DJU for the starting job

Depends on who you're trying to bring in for next season.

If you're banking on another Portal transfer, it doesn't matter as long as they're not as bad as DJU.

If you're looking for a top tier HS kid that will start as a TF, it would definitely be a harder sell.

LOL, then why'd he bring him in?
