FSU Exodus

At this point it’s not even laughable anymore. FSU will be down for some years. Maybe 3 years because most of their team are JRs and SRs, and they’re either leaving or trash. And their 2020-21 class won’t be much of a factor. Smh.

It would be hard for them to be any worse than they are now. They can turn into one of the "gritty ACC teams" like NC State, BC, or Virginia, but I think their fanbase wants more.

I think their only hope is if Norvell can at least change the culture of losers but he can't recruit at the level needed for the next step.

Hope Norvell gets rid of the trash mentality, get the buyout(s) off the books and go for a big time coach in 4-5 years.

They do, indeed. Problem is, it can't happen over night. First step is a solid foundation, and recruiting young men with a strong work ethic and good character is that foundation.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. FSU is hardly a program. They are one, successful, long-time coach, and a guy who essentially rode his coattails. Tally is not some quaint college town like Gainesville. It's a meth-addled dump with a towering penile monument/capital building.

I've never been to Blacksburg but would assume it's more or less the same. You're not going to get a good education. You're not going to really enjoy yourself in the podunk town in the middle of nowhere. If the team isn't winning consistently, what would make anyone want to go there?

I spent a month in Tally one week (on campus) and I'll never, ever go back to that god awful hole.

They still might not have the money. The Taggart situation really, really screwed them and it's not like FSU alums are exactly loaded.

This is most definitely a "less is more" story. Norvell had to somehow clean house; better the players leave voluntarily.
