FSU DUCKS ANOTHER TEAM

This is the annoying part, everyone here sits there acting like FSU is in the corner scared to play teams....lol which is the opposite of what we’ve known for 40 years playing them and have admired of FSU unlike UF. But instead everyone just repeats the same stupid **** about them being scared like theres no protocol around that **** that just forced us to miss games also, but that we tested positive for earlier in week.... and they repeat it without just ******* reading
They canceled the Clemson game because one Clemson player tested positive and travelled. Clemson offered to retetest and delay the game as late as Monday and FSU refused. Clemson couldn't have been more accommodating. That's a 100% bytch move. Norvell publicly defended the decision to not play Clemson.

Cancelling the UVA game was justified with so many of their players out, but waiting until the morning of the game was another bytch move. If you know your results are taking that long (this isn't their first week of testing), you should at least be courteous enough to give the opposing team notice.

Given the obvious discord around the team with the opt outs and public displays of frustration by some of their players, suggesting they're afraid is a viable option.

No.
The annoying part is all these purported UM fans showing up on CIS to white knight for FSpoo.

How anyone continues to defend FSU here is mind boggling. The Ravens aren’t canceling their game yet and have 23 guys out. VT at various points this season had 0 players at a positional group. Denver played a professional football game with 0 quarterbacks.

Everyone agreed to the same rules and regulations. Only FSU has punked out twice on gameday. I expect the ACC to take away FSUs remaining games or FSU to quit on the season in the coming weeks.

"Giant ******." Had your trailer-park loving a$$ gotten to the 6th grade, you'd know that even in middle school that comeback is considered a pretty weak one.
Ha yea lets talk education whenever you like. Just hit the ignore button princess.

We are not simply talking about a rival. This is a multiple thread on the same subject. FSU isn't ducking anyone. Is Wake ducking us? Did Trevor Lawrence duck a month of college football? Any other team with cancellations ducking? Or is it just FSU? Clemson has steamrolled FSU in the past and they will steamroll them again. FSU isn't ducking anyone. Give it up. The players want to play. They love football. The coaches want to play. They love football. For some reason, this season has been challenging for everyone involved in college football. FSU's administration did what they believed was right for their student-athletes. Quit with the conspiracy theories or at least take off your tin foal hat. Good grief.

Go Canes.

Please go away.

F$U met the ACC requirements to play the Clemson game. F$U cancelled within hours of kickoff. After one such incident, and in an abundance of caution, F$U could have taken action to avoid a similar game-day cancellation (after the opposing school's contingent had already flown to Tallahassee), but they did the exact same thing two weeks in a row.

Nobody has disputed whether the players want to play, though the increasing number of opt-outs would be EVIDENCE against your vague generalization. The coaches certainly have performance clauses in their contracts that are better-served by, say, LOSING FEWER GAMES, so you can't use your bogus "they love football" excuse here. Furthermore, you refuse to consider whether F$U has breach of contract issues if they cancel the games prospectively, as opposed to an "excuse" if they cancel the games closer in time to kickoff. Ah, yes, but to you, there is no evidence worth considering other than "love of football".

You are one of the most fake and hypocritical people I have ever seen on this board. In one line of posts, you criticize others who say things with no evidence, and you say they are committing sins by "bearing false witness". On another thread, you state WITH NO EVIDENCE that "F$U's administration did what they believed was right for their student-athletes". You do the EXACT THING that you condemn others for doing.

You, literally, cannot have it both ways. You are equally as sinful as those who you castigate. You are saying things that you do not know to be true, and citing absolutely no evidence.

I assume that your flesh will burn in **** as easily as anyone else's.

I seem to recall a few posters white knighting for FSU by saying Clemson brought Covid positive players.

Where are they now?

This is what is so insane.

Every single game...EVERY SINGLE GAME...requires one team to travel to another location. There are no neutral-site-bubbles.

And, in doing so, there are ALWAYS timing issues with the tests, and the results. Furthermore, a person who contracts COVID may start feeling bad and/or noticing symptoms AT ANY TIME after the test is administered.

If F$U, or any ACC member school, has ever felt that the timing of tests and test results and travel was INSUFFICIENT, they have had MONTHS to speak up in order to make that argument. F$U never did, and the F$U players and coaches were some of the more verbal individuals in the ACC who lobbied to play the games in spite of the risk.

This nonsense about "Clemson brought Covid positive players" is something that is a RISK in EVERY...SINGLE...GAME. There is, literally, no way to avoid it, short of having all players travel to the game site days in advance, administer the tests at the host school, and then quarantine all the players until the test results are in.

The fact remains, F$U has a better contractual excuse, and the F$U coaches have a better "fired for cause" excuse, if F$U cancels games due to COVID, rather than honestly and intentionally opting out of the rest of the season like many of their players did.
