Let's pretend a healthy JW plays. Does Enos call better plays? Probably not. Maybe Jarren hits some passes out past 10 yards, but I don't have a lot of confidence in our WRs. Where Perry makes the difference is with the game on the line, he pulls the ball and runs in for a TD. He's got moxy. The main QB trait he was missing was leadership, but he seems to have turned it around. This is not a knock on Williams, but I don't think he runs for a TD at the end. He'll wait for a receiver to get open, but that might mean a sack. In those situations, you need the QB to will his team to victory.
Perry showed me a lot. I keep going back to the traits Urban Meyer says he looks for. Who is better when the play breaks down? I think Perry has the edge. JW is a far better passer, Perry is the more effective QB. To put it another way, if this was Rosier vs Kaaya, who do you start? With this OL, I'd play Rosier. Need a guy who picks up yards with his legs. JW CAN run, but he isn't decisive enough yet to run for first downs. I would stick with Perry as I feel he's the better playmaker at the moment.
