It was NOT right back when it was flown for Butch. The difference was that was before the internet. Had the internet existed back then I think fans would have been way more supportive of Butch Davis and his staff. Most fans back then just demanded winning and didn't fully understand the magnitude of the sanctions. Also fans would have seen the kids Butch and his staff were bringing in.


Of course it was right for Golden. Blake James simply refused to do his job and needed to be held accountable.
 
All these people that want butch are basically saying they want a 70 year old man to recruit like he did in his mid 40s and then not be able to coach them to win chit. Ok let's have 5 more years of not winning chit. Maybe the coach after him can coach in a game better than he can and actually win a trophy with his players. You figure richt has at least 2 more years give butch 4 to get the players and then whatever new coach. Lmao 7 year fix 10 tops... 25 years removed from a natty sounds great.

100% OF ANY DOWNFALLS IN COMPANIES ARE MANAGEMENTS FAULT ....... I've seen huge companies have many years of success then get a new suit in a high ranking position and slowly silly ideas and changes occur then the company tail spins eventually the suit gets released with HUGE DESK type buyout worth millions and leaves very rich a cycle in play today.

I always ask new hires in upper sales / management position suits " what can you bring to me that I don't already have" then I ask what do you do when a customers asks for an item that stumps them big time they usually reply I give them what they want "wrong" you give them what they need.

Never ever ever give a customer what they want give them what they need customers have know Idea 95% that's why they're asking you to either confirm what they may need is correct or show them the right item if you don't they'll bring it back saying why didn't you tell me it wasn't right (you just wanted to make a sales)

Any way most upper management people are only out for themselves and HUGE DESK payouts sad but very very true unless your heads in the sand, mines NOT.

He’s also going to come and bring the same exact staff with him that he had when he built that team. They are all going to drop whatever job they hold now once he gets hired and come back home to be on his staff and it’ll be the glory days again. Nothing has changed since the year 2000. The recruiting landscape is the same , social media is the same , the way these kids act are the same . When Butch comes back it’ll immediately be just like the year 2000 again .
 
The difference is Butch made the changes .... he fired Miller and did what was needed to get us to the top...
..unlike the other 2 egotistical maniacs we are referring to..

Every big program has a "saban" moment. If they make the right decision with a total commitment to win, then they reap that.... else they become us in the last 15 years.
Bama was in the same boat as us in 2011, they waited and hired saban, we picked Folden...
We got what we deserved..
 
We have years and years of head coach evidence with which to judge Butch. He's accomplished far less than CMR. So you guys that still want him in 2018 please tell me you don't use CMR's record at UGA as a reason that you thought he was a bad hire.
