I’m actually intrigued to see how hardheaded Mario is . What level of insanity does he live in? UL could’ve been viewed as a fluke in his head , well this is two out of three with the same issues . Will he adjust things or just beat his brains into smithereens to end the season? If nothing changes next week from roster / rotations , formations , game planning and handling of situational I might check out completely .

I don't see him resigning now.He's going to reload the team again for next season,will bring in another portal QB and if the results are the same and the heat is on then after next season or 27 at the latest is in his best interest to step away before the damage to his ****** reputation is unfixable.If not he will only be coaching OLs until he retires.

I fell asleep on my couch mid game. Woke up right before OT. Watched the int and laid right back down…

agree 100%. Mario even made the ND, FSU and UF games boring.

Our talent was clearly shining in those games and we were ready to break things open, but good ol Mario got in the way to slow things down to a hault

first year in along time i deleted both fsu and uf right after the game as i jhad no need to rewatch.

our games are snooze fest for recruits...we run a hybrid air raid/ 1995 big ten offense that i never thought could be possible but somehow mario did it.

Beck stinks. He stunk a little less when we played with pace. But make no mistake, he has been an epic failure. I am guilty of a bad eval too, I thought he was better than he is.

Beck must be awful in practice. It’s the only logical conclusion.

My point is it literally doesn't even matter if he's good or bad. Fundamentally if you want to be a playoff team you're not going to accomplish that by walking through every game with your asscheeks clenched and everyone walking on eggshells that one mistake - unless it's committed by the Oline, RBs, or TEs that is ! can fliip the game to be ultra conservative.

Play ******* aggressive, and let the QB sling it. Every drive. PRETEND YOU HAVE FAITH. If they suck and you let them sling it you'll lose. If they are bad, you're going to lose anyways though, so what the **** difference is there really. Sure maybe you can change the outcome a tiny fraction playing conservative sometimes with bad qbs. But that would require an explosive run game, and any sort of misdirection or quality play sequencing.

One of our biggest problems is the lack of athleticism at qb. Im watching games all day and qbs are hurting the opponent with their legs and movement. No more statue qbs. On those snap infractions, I dont see them. They never show the replay, either........

Our offense is so vanilla. But we dont have explosive players other than Toney.. Moore showed burst last game but we dont play him much.

My question is why can’t Mario see this? He’s played and coached at the highest levels of football.

Is the same enormous ego it takes for some people to reach those heights in the profession the same type of hyper ego it would take to get tunnel vision and not see the forest for the trees?

Mario would be perfectly fine if anything about scheme and gameprep and in game decision making was just automatically defaulted to "Be Aggressive/Go For Broke". Literally.

i thought i was the only one that truly notices...dude doesnt want to get hit whatso ever... i mean he isnt exactly small but he has yet wen in run mode attempted to give some contact a move nothing just is running in an urge to get down...that is clearly because he has been coddled to do so becaher the qb room is THAT bad behind him

Mario and James Franklin both good recruiters and both bad game day coaches. The difference? James Franklin is better at developing talent therefore Franklin usually struggles against teams with equally talented teams but feasts on teams with lesser talent than him because he unlocks 93% of his players potential compared to Mario who i feel only unlocks 80% of his players potential on average, so we struggle against teams we should beat easily just off of talent. Just look at the 2023 class who are juniors now one by one and ask yourself is this guy a solid contributor or better on this team right now.

Every team in contention for the playoffs has a more mobile and athletic qb than Beck. Every one of them. I dont mean scramble all the time, just someone who can more a lot better and more fluid than Beck.

Of the last 12 QB’s to win the NC, only Watson was a threat to run.
Beck has only been sacked 4 times, so it’s not like his mobility is hurting us.
