- Great experience. In my section it felt like a home game. Canes traveled really well.
- One of the most perfect performances from a QB I've ever seen. No forces, took what was there. It doesn't get much better than that. Start the Heisman campaign.
- Speaking of the Heisman, one for the ages for Mali. Cute how Stanford tried to man up on him in the first half. Bold strategy, Cotton.
Barkate, Upshaw, and Moore showed enough. When they over-emphasize Mali, those guys will eat.
- Lofton was open a bunch but Mensah didn't have to go through too many of his progressions to find him. He'll make plays. Had a nice 3rd and long conversion on a great throw.
- It didn't look like our OL was getting much movement in the middle. Dawson kept it close to the vest, but we weren't creating big holes with the exception of Marty's TD run.
- As frustrating as it seemed with the secondary at times, they had barely over 200 yards passing and didn't get into the end zone. So it's a little nitpicky but they can play better.
- Also would have liked to see more sacks, but from what I can see they were holding us EVERY PLAY. And the refs actually called a few of them. In the first half at least.
- Good thing we have depth in the secondary. Damari looked a step slow in the 1st half but settled in. On the almost ridiculous catch that Poyser broke up, he had great coverage.
- Stanford has a decent QB. He'll win them some games. Luck is clearly doing a good job with that offense. They were smart to do roll outs and boots and those gave us some trouble early.
- I see what they love about Mallory. His vision is elite.
Nickel badly underthrew Jacobs on the INT that didn't look like an INT to me. He had him. But then he made a few nice throws under pressure. I like that he took some deep shots. He had Spafford too and overthrew him.
- Overall there's not much to complain about. Get OJ healthy over the next month and enjoy the Mensah and Mali show. The run game will come around. Would really like to see Pringle get some burn with the 1s.
