The site is full of morons and dunces who pose as Canes fans. They are easy to identify, all they do is whine, ***** and moan like teenage girls. Bah Wah Wah. Recruits should ignore this site completely.

Then go somewhere else and keeping tell everybody how Scarlett was signed, sealed, and delivered.

If we don't go 6-7 the fan base is not *****ing like this. We will still find something to ***** about but the level of hostility will not be this high. Ppl need to Stop blaming fans for poor administration and coaching. It's bs

Some fans just don't get it.

If you want to talk crap about Golden and the other coaches during the season when we play like crap, go ahead. I hate the scheme, hate the lack of adjustments, hate the black jersey crap, etc.....but i love my Canes. So i may say things during the season too WHILE still supporting the players. After the season is over and you kept it going because you wanted Golden fired...ok, completely justified. I agree, the administration should have made a move.....but they didn't. At that point, you should have shut up if you didn't want to cause more damage. The father of a high level recruit just CONFIRMED what many of us have said, that eventhough you don't think it matters what you post on here, it DOES have an impact. If that's what you want.....go root for someone else. Once we realized Golden was on for one more year, we should have just turned the cheek, talked recruiting, and looked at the positive of what we had coming in. Period. You think Shaq wants to hear why the coach he committed to is trash? You think guys want to be surrounded by constant negativity?? NO! That **** is draining. You compare this board to BAMA's when they lose.....well how often do they lose? If BAMA was a 6-7, 7-6, or 8-6 team and had that negativity all the time, i guarantee you some of those kids wouldn't go there and deal with it. But you can get away with it when you win. There's a limit to everything. When you take it too far, you turn things into the dumpster fire we are experiencing right now.

The 2016 class is loaded right now.....and those kids committed to Golden and the other coaches you continue to trash. If you want them to keep looking elsewhere, keep telling them why they should. And when they do, don't ***** about it again next year. If we struggle again, i have no doubts a change will be made. But let's just shut up for a few months and let things play out. Nothing is changing between now and next December except the perception of these young kids who we want to hold on to.

Your last paragraph is exactly what everyone was saying last year.

I hate the smug attitude of *****es like you. "let me tell you how to be a fan. This is what I do." **** off.

We are not the cause of the negativity. We are a symptom of it. The staff, admin and BOT are the cause.

Shaq's dad just said, if the team plays poorly, kids think the coach sucks. There you go.

What do you think hurt our recruiting worse, 6-7 or negative reaction from a fan base that was told to "stop *****ing and realize the progress we've made".?

we can take things too far but if you think we're bad ..most of us are exaggerating ...imagine north florida , alabama etc ...ALL they have is football lmao

Every team out there has fans just like this. Every team has message boards with all this toxicity.

But they shouldn't be on this site... Everyone knows what message boards are all about... It's therapy for us fans especially in moments like this... If this site is going to have any weight on a recruits recruitment process than i don't know what to say... They need to worry about themselves and there teammates and future teammates... Not about us crazy fans!!!
I agree they should not be here, that is why I don't allow Shaq to come on....BUT these kids Google there names out of curiosity and find their names attached to a link back here and then they are going to check out what's going on inside... So even though they shouldn't they are... I know of a recruit that just received his first offer from Maryland... I dare not say his name... and I mention to him ...that I mention to the coaches at Miami and his reply was Miami fans even say don't come to Miami he even went on to say the coaches sucks none of the players like the coaches.... so I stopped him and said that's BS where did he get that information from... I had and idea... but then he said CaneInsight... I was like ****... and told him its not true and I will take you to Miami's spring game so you can see for your self... Point is our fan sight is counter productive to what most of us here want... To Win.

So I am really curious since your son is looking at Miami. How does having a losing season, not winning bowl games, and then the admin not changing coaches have him look at the college? I am really curious if it has as much affect as we think or if these kids are more pushed by friends and actual recruiters and other things instead of the things fans see as important.

Went to Miami and FSU game at a big gathering at the Ale House here in Orange Park... was sick... neither one of us spoke one word after the loss...went straight to bed... Shaq's school went 12-1 last year... that 1 was a dagger in the hard... Shaq went 14-2 in middle school he went to the SuperBowl in Orlando in Pop-Warner... after two undefeated season... We like winning.. Its not everything its the only thing... If you are not successful then something got to change in everything we do... Now 2 questions back to you...

1. Who here will have direct influence over the staff and administration that can demand a change?

2. Who here had direct influence over a **** good corner that could potentially become a cane?

*As a collective voice from here... I think it can and will make a change, but I fear the damage that will be caused in doing so.

- A wife burns down their house because she wanted her husband to move out... She was successful

In that case view this house as being infested with asbestos

It needs to be burned to the ground and rebuilt

I'll tell you what doesn't help matters...calling the father of one of our recruits a " a piece of **** apologist" and then asking him to go root for another team.
This Jedi fool needs a time out

Dude, Really? So a recruit is going to look at a Canes sight and then say to himself that he doesn't want to come because people are trashing this staff? GTFOH with that! A recruit is going to feel a certain way about 6-7, our ****ty defense that we continue to run, not winning games, losing! All these factors matter not the fan base! If that was the case, then Alabama should not even field a team because their fanbase is ten times as bad and they are winning right now!

It's about fans not supporting the team alone not the staff being trashed. You guys don't support the team for **** why would a recruit want to play for that kind of fan base when the only support they have is their family

How would a recruit feel about the University of Miami after spending 1 hour on this site?

Honestly, I have to question your decision-making as a parent of a student athlete. You are finding any excuse to get your son to go to a school that does not deserve his services. Your son is a better fit for about 25 other programs and you are not maximizing HIS opportunity by sending him to UM. Be a good dad and let Shaq look at better options. Smh

Last year when we were 7-0 there was huge support for the football team. (Even though we knew we were overachieving) all that support didn't help recruiting...These recruits make decisions for themselves....You cant say that something a fan types on a message board has more impact on a recruit than chanting his ******* name at basketball games does (Collins, Cook, Thomas)....They still said ***** the U even when the fans were behind Golden

Any recruit that uses the fanbase/message boards as a determining factor in making his decision won't turn out well regardless of what the fan base says.

Straight up.

Who gives a **** what the fan base says. Make a personally informed decision. If a recruit is incapable of doing that get off my team. You're going to get run over by all the kids with backbones.

we can talk about the lack of D the 6-7 record but our offensive has been good and running backs we always have if he doesn't come meaning scarlett then he won't be the first or the last walton and yearby will hold it down just like duke did graig cooper did lamar did mike james did we will be find if U not with us then U against us

Let me ask you a question, if you don't mind, well, maybe a couple.

How do kids look at 6-7 record?

How do kids look at a university after the parent of one of the best players calls out the coaches?

How do kids look at the university when they make no effort to hold the head coach accountable?

I know how they see it when they look at this website, it's a mess!
But the school is forcing the fanbases hand to call for action!
We are a very passionate fan base, who hold our team to the standards set by some of the NFLs best players EVER!
That's right! They played for TheU!
They have been silenced by this staff and Admin. Or they would be just as vocal as we are!

Good luck to you and your son!

I'm not just jumping on board here... I went to my first UM game back in 79 or 80 when Kenny McMillian was the Quarterback... with a guy name Jim Kelly as the number 2... Eddie Brown is one of my all time favorite Canes... I dropped Alonzo Highsmiths girl friend off at the dorm to come see him... Darrell Fullington and I grew up playing basketball at the same playground and against each other in high school... So I was a fan long before the glory years and have held on through the tough times... Shaq likes Miami because of my passion for Miami... getting off the soap box...Here are my answers to your questions:

How do kids look at 6-7 record? They hate it... Most kids are faddish they want to go to who is winning. Then there are others who want to go to a school and make it a winning program...but to your point 6-7 is real bad on recruiting...

How do kids look at a university after the parent of one of the best players calls out the coaches? This was really bad... I even gasp for a second...and then thought am I being selfish with my love for the Hurricanes... and sending my child to a **** sandwich. What was said was bad, but who said it made it was monumentally devastating..

How do kids look at the university when they make no effort to hold the head coach accountable? This notion is over the kids heads most aren't really concern with who's coaching the team... They are shallow ... their view is... if a team is winning they have a good coach... if they are losing then the coach sucks.

All these things are bad... I agree... I'm not just some naïve parent pointing a finger... I see there are issues, some I will keep to myself for obvious reasons... but my point is yes these things are bad... but if your efforts are not helping... then they are further hurting the situation.. Most games on Saturdays are won on NSD... Good Coach or Bad Coach... Recruiting is like a pendulum it can feel like a long time before the arm comes back.

Thank you for your response! Im sure nobody wanted it to become this toxic. I feel for you and your son that this has happend during the year he got to pick his school. I'm sure you are a proud father nonetheless!

I'm not sure how this will effect the school and program, But I think with enough noise from the fans SOMEONE, (new prez, new AD,BOT) will make a change. But I may just be wishing.

I'm not telling you how to be a fan. I'm just telling you that sometimes your actions have consequences, as proven by the statements made by the father of a commit. All i said was either stop being so negative to prevent those consequences, or stop b!tching about the consequences when they come true. You can't have it both ways.

And it's funny to hear that my generalization has insulted you do directly that you would refer to me as smug and tell me to f off. Isn't that what everyone of you is doing tell the admin and BOT how to run their athletic department? What's the difference here?

**** has to change. The staff has to change and the culture has to change, it's awful.....but so does this **** fan base.

I'd think the fans were rightfully sick of the inferior product UM insists on force feeding them.

I'd think they have standards and that those standards aren't being met, so they're trying their best to be heard and to force the scumbag politicians running the program into the ground to replace the horrible and disloyal HC, who begged another program to hire him last year and would skip town in a heartbeat if any other program offered him a HC gig.

If I'm a recruit, who is also a UM fan, I'd congratulate those fans for trying to uphold the past standard of greatness at UM because the admin and corches have abdicated that responsibility. These loud fans should be celebrated as heroes because they're the only hope UM has to return to greatness.

What's astonishing is how many fans think it's one way or the other. They both are hurting us.

I wouldn't say we really were overachieving when we started 7-0. I'd definitely say Golden was overachieving. But if you are talking about what our record should have been with the talent we had, I'd say NO LESS THAN 10 wins.
So, actually, we definitely underachieved still. But for Golden and this administration they saw it as a complete success.

How many of these great fans who should be honored for being loud have had kids that have been recruited or played at UM?

The discussion is about whether fan support largely affects recruits are not....i'm saying even with all the support behind Golden and the 7-0 start last year, recruits still weren't impressed. I'm not saying fan support doesn't affect recruits at all, but I think its being overblown....The problem is Golden.

Why is everyone so rustled by this recruiting class? We have a losing record with a 4th year staff, plenty of NFL talent and expect a top 10 class. Some recruits like Shaq want to be at Miami regardless and for those very few kids/families we need to be thankful for.
