Fresh watch of IU vs OSU game - notes and how it's pertinent to tomorrow night

I was talking about Jackson's performance vs Indiana. Ohio State's run game was actually pretty effective. If Ohio State can do that our run game should do 150+?
Ohh got ya. And yes. Sorry with how new your account was I thought you were an Indiana guy. So dint mean to be rude.

If the referees even kind of enforce holding I don't see how they beat us. They need seven pass protectors to block Bain, Moten, Scott/Blay, and Mesidor if they actually have to block them. Carter Smith is not in Mesidor's league as an athlete or player and for as bad as that matchup is their RT's, they play two of them (Benson and Ajani), vs Bain are much much worse. Their RT's can't legitimately block either Bain or Mesidor without a TE.
Their RG is a huge liability according tomThe Football Guy podcast
That right side in general is their weak side
I expect DLine to EAT

just beat them up in a smart way. No late pile ons. No obvious roughing the passer. They will call those things

I think they will protect Mendoza and throw that flag if we take him out too hard
Bingo. Ole Miss effort gets us beat. OSU effort and we win number 6.

Last thing I’ll say is as you mentioned we’re going to be under a microscope due to the PF penalties vs Ole Miss. We will be officiated harder that IU, gotta be smart.
It’s Big Bad Mean Miami vs Sweet little Cinderella Indiana

You nailed it. Have to play like we did against OSU and not OM. I’m hoping the flu outbreak was a factor against OM.

Yeah, Brooks Austin and Landon Tengwall have both identified the right side of that line as being porous. Will they just double/triple (with TE) on Bain?

I also watched that IU- OSU game but I watched it the same day it was played and had no bias as to who to favor. I came away with the same impression, Ohio State was the better team that day and should have won that game.

With all that said --Indiana is a very good team but they are absolutely beatable.

Few observations:
— Indiana OL regularly grabbed & held in pass protection. Need some flags
— WR. Becker is a problem
— IU will pressure Beck & so obviously can’t do anything stupid. Also use legs
— Mendoza is obviously talented, but Joe Burrow talk is a reach. Will escape pocket & make plays. Also can get rattled & loose with ball trying to escape. Need to get turnover.
— IU defense rallies to ball & tough running laterally against. Best running right at them.
IU secondary is solid & corners don’t allow much separation
— IU is not better than Ohio State

Bo Jackson averaged 4.9 YPC in his 17 carries. They should have run him more. Would have won if they had.

The run stats only look bad cause the 29 yards Saying lost on sacks.
You know Bo Jackson avg 5 vs us, Sayin had like -42 yds rushing 😂😂. Context they did most of it going tempo and big personnel.

in the goal play Ryan Day chose to pass on a 3rd and 1 and then on 4th and 1 he ran the QB who promptly put his knee down before eventually reaching the 1st down marker. I though all of his RB had hit the portal or something.
