I thought the best part of the coaching was ******** up inside the five to settle for a field goal, which they missed.

That, along with the seven whole points he managed at home against Boston College has him up there with Bear Bryant.
 
Like I said. Paying attention. That's a good thing.

PSU next week I wonder what the spread will be?

In the weekly Mark Whipple circus, UMass had a 41-14 lead and managed to lose 42-41. That's what a lack of running ability does to those Whipple and Leach types.
 
Covered the spread....again....It wasn't Umass that fvcked up everyone's parlay's.

He does way more with way less than Gorlden and his crew ever will.

That would be accurate if he did anything at all. It's hard to claim to "do more" when you're 0-6.

I love how the offense absolutely shut down for 2+ quarters.

Right, because Miami fans would be just giddy if we were 0-6 and 3-3 against the spread.

As for "smart"........

His team blew a 41-14 lead against a team with a 21 losing streak... A team that UMASS beat last year under a different coach with the same ****** players. Yep, Whipple is awesome!
 
They're calling the end of the game the "dumbest call of the year". Instead of spiking it and kicking the game winning field goal, he had them hurry up and run a play, which obviously didn't get into the end zone.

And while we're on the subject of coaching and adjustments, it was UMass' fourth second half collapse in six games. Al Golden North.
