In 85 went to visit my sister who lived in Rego Park Queens (still does) and saw KRS1....Beastie Boys...and RUNDMC....Good times....but I've always been a HUGE fan of EPMD...their originally from Long Island...Loved their Underground stuff.

LL came out with Rock the Bells and. Shan came out with Beat Biter claiming he stole his beat. I think after that he got tore up. I remember Kool Moe Dee and LL going at it. LL had Jack the Rapper or Ripper but I thought he got rocked with Let's Go by Kool Moe Dee. Dee was really old school. He was around a long time. Big Daddy Kane-Raw, Ain't No Half Steppin, Set it Off-classics.

Prince Paul and Daddy O both came out of Stetsasonic. Both had sucessful careers producing.

@njstateofmind ....My ticket stubs from the 70s....The Sknyrd concert was their last in Fl before crashing...All 3 concerts were classics....Was at the Zeppelin concert in Tampa (77) when the rioting broke out...Lol....

Not really....concerts then were cheap....Zeppelin was $12...but I lost the stub and couldn't get my $$ back...It started raining and they left the stage (old Tampa Bay Stadium) and never returned....72,000 people started rioting...Lol...National Guard came..Governor Graham banned them from Fl a few days later....Total bedlam....
 
As a Chef in St Petersburg in 1987...I chefed a Private Party for the band RATT....After the party I was invited to hang out with them...Great Guys....This was a few days before their concert with Poison.

@Andrew why is the Official @njstateofmind thread locked? Regardless of whatever reason this time that he was band, most of it is being kept in there. This season sucks and it's a good outlet for a bunch of us to maintain our sanity. Sticky it, separate board it...whatever. Many of us dont want to go on the gaytor owned WEZZIE board for an OT thread. Can you please unlock it?
