Frank Ladson is he

I don't care either way. I thought he was vastly overrated in high school. Dabo didn't think so and he saw something I missed apparently.

While I agree we shouldn’t be a fall back program I’m with taking him since he didn’t sign there with Mario here

What's wrong with being a fall back program, though, if it opens you up to selectively picking from the cream of the crop? You're only taking who you deem worthy, not kids that weren't good enough where they were at. Many kids I'm sure are getting yes or no answers via word of mouth before they even enter.

With an area like this, use it to your advantage.

There is a gap in talent between our program and a program like UGA or Alabama right now. And speaking of Alabama,...****,...even they're using it. Recruiting great is always what you want to do, but I think you should see it as a way to close the gap more easily than other programs are able to.

It’s more of a if a south Florida kid leaves Miami while the current coach is here I don’t think we should take them when the flame out else where. So with Mario that rule doesn’t apply but next year in his first full year if u go else where don’t think u can come back after it doesn’t work out or u were lied to.

Bc the moment I take them back they will go else where out of high school and think I can just come to Miami if it doesn’t workout here

I love what Mario could sell with stories like Stevenson and potentially someone like Ladson. “Look at those big-time guys, they were sold a bill of goods by outsiders and left, but came back to where they belong, where they knew they should have been from the beginning, now look at them balling. Skip the middle man, learn from their mistakes, and stay home. Do that and this thing will be a monster. Nobody can **** with us. Period.”

Exactly.

Coaches don't look at it like that.

Coaches look at one simple thing. Can this player improve my team. If the answer is yes, then they'll welcome them back providing they don't have other big issues that would be a distraction.

All this flamed out, was lied to, spurned us, etc does not matter if they can improve their position group. Feelings don't apply when your job is to win and to do so, you need to accumulate as much talent as possible. These are grown *** man decisions, not spurned women type ****.

Exactly. If it improves the team, do it. Facts over feels every time.

Yeah you take any talented kid that wants to come here and would help improve the team.

If they can help you win no one should care about which UM hat they threw on the ground 3 years before. These are decisions that impact the jobs of a staff making $16 million dollars (projected?) a year. It's not a middle school ex-girlfriend.

Mario might actually be able to carve out a nice pipeline of the highly-rated south Florida kids we do lose who decide they want to come home. Not a bad business to be in.

Ladson scored TDs against Cuse, WF, GT, and UVA so he has proven he can be at least somewhat productive in league. He did drop a long TD pass against us last year where he flew by Al Blades on a go route.

He would've started at Clemson had it not been for the injuries. Again I think he averaged less than 7 games per year at Clemson.

From a length and speed and body size standpoint, he immediately would be #1 on our roster.

On Clemson radio this AM they were going thru their portal players they lost and ranking them.

I think he was #2 or #3 in quality player they lost, and they said it wouldn't surprise them if he had a good season whereever he goes if he can stay healthy.

They said talent wasn't the issue it was injuries, and if by now he can't stay healthy maybe that is just who he is.

Exactly... Ppl are thinking about the NOW but low-risk moves like this would pay dividends for the future greatly.
