The addition of Alderman should help a lot in coverage. Plus the young guys Popo, Bobby Wash should be ready to help more on a rotational basis. All those guys are better athletes than Francisco. But I expect him to have a good year. He's a leader.

He’s probably my second favorite player on the team other than Bain

He’s an absolute monster when he’s attacking so I expect Guidry to work around that, have him going backwards less and forwards more with the talent around him. I expect a HUGE season

Its funny when some would speak on how bad the room was and how the guys on the field were not Miami Hurricane caliber.. They were called mopes.. :ibis-roflmao-sm3:

Mopes are guys that have to interject negativity into every frickin thread regardless of topic. Thanks for providing a use case.

Regarding LB, even the O&G glass wearers knew guys like Flagg and Keontra were far from championship caliber. They chose to grin and bear it and focus on their good qualities. I personally despised Diaz' recruiting, especially at LB, and wanted additional transfers beyond Kiko and Cloyd, the latter of whom unfortunately underperformed hopes and expectations.

This offseason was different. We retained Kiko who probably would have been a low-round draft choice and IMO still has a lot of upside, we brought in Alderman who was significantly better than Cloyd at Louisville, Wed looks like he's taken a step, Chase Smith looks healthy enough to provide at least Cloyd-level snaps (I expect MUCH more from him as he's my dark horse candidate on defense), and Popo looks ready to step up, not to mention the other young guys who are chomping at the bit to get playig time. The LB room is a genuine strength, IMO second best position group on the defensive after DE.

I’m hoping for Chase to get a real look with the starters in camp. I’d imagine he will at least get a chance or else he wouldn’t be here considering his age and lack of production to date.

I was honestly surprised he didn’t leave in the winter window. I don’t see him
playing over Kiko/Wes/Alderman. He is fighting for snaps as the 4th guy with Popo at best. Extremely physically talented kid, but those injuries set him back a ton.

No cap, when we took his commitment I thought it was just to make his little brother happy but god **** Kiko is a baller. Can't wait to see him year 2 with Guidry.
