Francis working at center

I like the idea of cross training linemen to play different position in case of an emergency. I don’t like the idea of moving Francis to center. Center is more about knowing your line’s blocking assignments and keeping everyone on the same page. That’s why Matt Lee was good despite being smallish and not particularly dominant. It’s also the position with the least amount of one on one blocking since few teams line up with a zero tech consistently. Honestly, it’s where coaches often hide their weakest blocker. Now if Bell or McCoy or anyone is making a big push for time at RT, I wouldn’t have an issue with moving Mauigoa to guard. I think that’s his best spot. But center would almost be wasting him.

You are stuck on this Freshman AA. lol. But I get it. Side note: There weren’t any other freshman who played as much as Mauigoa did as a freshman at the position. That’s the main reason he got FAA. Good thing is, he can play anywhere on the line. We definitely get the best out of OL with him at LG though.
Agree to disagree. With that said we should field an excellent offensive line!!
