Fran Brown Press Conference Miami Game and other things

Also brought Elijah Robinson with him. 2 big time recruiters. Syracuse should enjoy him now because they prob get 2-3 years tops with him.

I know Psu fans are ready for a change and these two would kill it there. Camden, NJ guys and Robinson graduated from Psu. I don’t think he’s a great DC but good DL coach and big time recruiter.

Was about to post this. Seems like Syracuse has a good coach up there. First 7 minutes gave us and coach Cristobal a lot of respect while calling out the rankings in cfb.

good for him calling out his own reporter that’s wild for the first questions to be about 8 different injuries lmao.

Finally finished the rest. Genuine and humble dude, he’s destined for something bigger than Syracuse.

And what is the point exactly of every player having an llc? I mean maybe for like the top NIL earners. But realistically unless they are actually going to have their own business it seems pretty pointless to me. I guess it’d be to limit personal liability for not meeting NIL obligations if you have your llc sign and not you? Maybe a little tax deductions for travel and expenses like that, but again unless you’re actually making a lot on NIL I don’t see the point.

Seems like just something you say for PR, whith no care if it’s actually useful..

I agree with the first point. Not sure how much all these kids at Cuse are making and I'm sure most is coming directly from a collective anyway - not multiple sources. Now every kid on the team is likely to need a CPA, and as a CPA myself, I can say that is not cheap.

All for the benefit of taking away personal liability and I'm sure 99% of these kids won't understand what they have to do to avoid commingling business funds and assets as personal use, arms-length transactions, and keeping proper records, and how to handle all of that appropriately to avoid a court being able to easily "pierce the veil" in the event they actually need the protection of an LLC.

At most they'll take some write-offs and get to take their SSN and use the EIN when dealing with all of their sponsors and endorsements. Most of them probably going to attempt to write off their Hellcats and depreciate their apartments and get into trouble.

My daughter had a $48000 internship, with Ron Howard's impact entertainment, and the class were all required to open an L. C. The benefits are that it saves 1/2 of your self-employment tax. If you get paid on a 1099 and allows you to buy insurance. Healthcare and others. Yeah, expenses, which are deductible from your LLC one of the. Requirements is that the LLC pay the member at least 20 to 30% of the. Revenue, as salary you then become an employee.Of your own l l c

you missed the point. The point is educating the guys on how to use their money wisely. Maybe they don't all need an LLC. But it isn't the only point of the time with the financial advisor. He acknowledges that most of them won't see the NFL. But they will have to support themselves and a family.

Ahhhhhh. The good ole cis tug machine has appointed Fran Brown this time around I see...
Uh Oh Thomas GIF

Not really. He could have just talked about the financial education they will receive. But he specified they'd all get LLCs as if that was some hack to make them superior earners and that if your school isn't helping you do that it's not "for you" as much as they are.

You know what the #1 thing he should have spoke about that ACTUALLY has the largest fundamental impact on any young person when talking financially literacy - ensuring they understand compound interest. If he would have said we are ensuring every student has a Roth IRA instead of saying everyone will have an LLC I'd be saying this dude is 100% correct. But he didn't.
